On January 9th, 2020, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Joshua Ross, 31, of Kennedy, for Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree, Overdriving/Torturing/Injuring Animals and Resisting Arrest.

The Troopers responded to a residence in Kennedy for a domestic incident. Investigation revealed that Ross arrived at the residence without invitation and walked into the victim’s home. Ross refused to leave when instructed to by the victim and during their argument, kicked her chihuahua. When the victim attempted to call 911 for assistance, Ross knocked the phone from the victim’s hand and across the room. The police were eventually contacted by a third party. The Troopers attempted to place Ross under arrest at which point he physically resisted, but was eventually taken into custody and transported to SP Jamestown. Ross was then processed and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, pending arraignment.
