On July 14, 2019, State Police in Fonda arrested 32-year-old John Herrera of Saint Johnsville, for three counts Menacing 2nd degree, and Harassment 2nd degree.
Shortly before midnight on Sunday, Troopers responded to a dispute at a residence in the village of Saint Johnsville. Upon arriving, they spoke to a female victim who stated that she and some of her family had gone to the residence to speak with John Herrara and the two began arguing. Herrara punched the victim in the face and then proceeded to pull out a knife, threatening the victim and her family. Herrara had left the scene prior to the arrival of police but was located a short time later at a local residence. He was taken into custody and transported to SP Fonda for processing.
Herrara was arraigned in Ephratah Town Court and remanded to Fulton County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
