The New York State Police will increase patrols to crack down on drunk and drugged driving and other traffic infractions over the Fourth of July holiday. This special enforcement period will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022, and run through 3 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.

New York State Police, Saranac Lake Police,  and the NYS Attorney General’s Office are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred at the Stewart’s Shop on Bloomingdale Ave. in the village of Saranac Lake

On June 25, 2022, at approximately 10:06p.m., State Police were called to East DeKalb Road in the town of Hermon for a report of a motorcycle accident.

On June 18, 2022, at approximately 1:57a.m., State Police were called to Woods Falls Road in the town of Mooers for a report of a robbery.

On June 20, 2022, State Police arrested Renee C. Robert, 20, of Vermont, for Grand Larceny 3rd degree and vehicle and traffic violations.

On June 5, 2022, New York State Police responded to the Dailey Ridge Presbyterian Church, 411 Elliot Road, town of Potsdam, for a criminal mischief complaint.

On June 18, 2022, at about 2:27 p.m., State Police and Clinton County Sheriff's Office responded to the Walmart at 25 Consumer Square in Plattsburgh for a report of a possible attempted child abduction.

On May 26, 2022, State Police charged Phillip E. West, 34, of Indian Lake with one count of aggravated harassment 2nd degree and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. 

On May 23, 2022, State Police arrested Austin M. Taylor, 23, of Beekmantown, for Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd degree.

On May 19, 2022, the New York State Police responded to Gouverneur Correctional Facility, 112 Scotch Settlement Road, Gouverneur, for a report of a deceased incarcerated individual. 

On May 12, 2022, State Police arrested Jeremy W. Walsh, 33, of Plattsburgh, for Criminal Possession of a Firearm.

On May 12, 2022, State Police arrested Richard A. Carnahan, Jr., 37, of Peru, for Burglary 2nd degree, Grand Larceny 3rd degree and Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree.

On May 11, 2022, at approximately 7:30 PM, State Police received a report of an individual stealing a car from a location on State Route 3, in the town of Plattsburgh.  After police responded to the scene, it was determined an unidentified male suspect threatened a vehicle operator with a knife and then stole the victim’s truck.

On May 10, 2022, State Police arrested David J. Kussius, 45, of Stillwater, NY, for Assault 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd.

The New York State Police is warning the public about a significant increase in the number of car thefts that have occurred in Clinton and Franklin Counties in recent months.

The State Police today announced that an investigation into the suicide of a St. Lawrence County teenager has resulted in the arrest of two subjects by the Federal Investigative Agency of Pakistan.

On February 20, 2022, at about 10 p.m., State Police responded to a snowmobile crash in the area of State Route 374 about 2 miles from the Lyon Mountain trailhead in the town of Dannemora.

On February 9, 2022, at around 9:45 p.m., State Police arrested 38-year-old Matthew E. Hebert, of Champlain for felony driving while intoxicated after being called to State Route 9 in Champlain for a one-car crash.

On December 22, 2021, Troop B Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team was called in to assist the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation for the execution of a search warrant on 2511 County Route 24 in the town of Russell.

The New York State Police will participate a special enforcement initiative to crack down on impaired and reckless driving this holiday season.

On the night of December 15, 2021, a social media message was sent expressing concerns of a possible shooting at schools in Clinton County.

On December 12, 2021, at approximately 10:51 PM, Brandon Euber, 27, Lake Placid, left Adirondack Medical Center (AMC) – Saranac Lake, on foot, in the direction of Saranac Lake.

On December 4, 2021, at around 9:00 am, State Police responded to General Leroy Manor Road in Dannemora for a one car rollover crash with injuries.

On November 4, 2021, State Police arrested Edward R. Tucker, 54, of Rome, NY on multiple charges after he led police agencies on a three-county pursuit that covered 120 miles.

On October 29, 2021, the New York State Police and local EMS responded to a residence in the town of Black for a 62-year-old-female, Cynthia L. Smart, who was discovered to have suffered extensive burns to her body from a campfire.

On September 25, 2021, State Police arrested 23-year-old Kyle Crump of Malone, following an investigation initiated on July 9, 2021, where Crump contacted the Emergency Room of the Alice Hyde Medical Center repeatedly, making threats to harm staff.

On September 24, 2021, at 7:45 p.m., State Police arrested 32-year-old Aaron R. Johnson of Hermon, for DWI following a report of reckless driving on County Route 17 in Russell.

On September 21, 2021, State Police and the Massena Police Department arrested 32-year-old Matthew J. Jacobs of Fort Covington in regard to multiple investigations

On September 16, 2021, at around 11:10 a.m., State Police attempted to make a traffic stop on State Route 22 in Ticonderoga. The vehicle failed to stop and continued westbound onto State Route 74.

On September 20, 2021, State Police arrested 38-year-old Jason J. Simmons of Ogdensburg, following a pursuit which occurred on September 15 between St. Lawrence and Jefferson counties.

The New York State Police in Troop B want to remind the public to lock their cars due to a trend of vehicle break-ins and thefts in the Massena and Malone areas. Thefts of recreational vehicles and trailers have also occurred.

On September 20, 2021, at around 11:10 a.m., State Police investigated a fatal motor vehicle accident at the intersection of County Route 34 and State Highway 310 in the town of Potsdam.

On September 20, 2021, at around 9:10 p.m., State Police arrested 31-year-old Danielle C. Miller of Troy following a traffic stop in in the parking lot of Market 32, Centre Drive, in Plattsburgh.

On September 17, 2021 at approximately 3:06 p.m., State Police arrested two men on motorcycles on State Route 30 in the town of Indian Lake. The two motorcycles were speeding and then failed to pull over when a trooper attempted a traffic stop.

On September 19, 2021 State Police arrested 29-year-old Narissa N. Joubert of Massena following a report of a burglary on September 13, at the Highland Nursing Home in Massena.

On August 12, 2021, at 12:48 a.m., State Police stopped a car on State Highway 37 in the town of Lisbon.

On August 11, 2021 at approximately 11:15 p.m. State Police arrested 38-year-old Joel M. Halstead of Berea, Ohio, for DWI following a traffic stop on Wawbeek Avenue in the village of Tupper Lake.

On August 11, 2021, at approximately 12:10 p.m., State Police responded to a report of a shoplifter at JC Penney, 60 Smithfield Boulevard in the town of Plattsburgh.

On August 11, 2021, at approximately 7:27 p.m., State Police responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on State Route 374 in Chateaugay.

On August 10, 2021, at approximately 8:05 p.m., State Police responded to the Chateaugay Port of Entry on County Route 52 for two males illegally in possession of firearms.

On August 10, 2021, State Police arrested 42-year-old Ryan M. Wicks of Dekalb, following an investigation of criminal mischief that was reported on August 1.

On August 9, 2021, at approximately 8 p.m., State Police stopped a car on State Route 374 in Lyon Mountain for traffic violations.

On August 7, 2021, at approximately 8:41pm, troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Lovejoy Road in the town of Oswegatchie.

On August 8, 2021, at 8:32 p.m., State Police responded to a residence on Cedar Street in Port Henry for a report of a domestic dispute.

On August 8, 2021, at 8:32 p.m., State Police arrested 24-year-old Keith T. Labombard Jr. f Dannemora after responding to a residence on Eggleston Drive in the village of Dannemora for a report of a domestic dispute.

On August 7, 2021, at 7:07 p.m., State Police responded to a residence on County Route 12 in Gouverneur for a report of criminal mischief. 27-year-old Amber L. Dashner of Gouverneur had struck a mailbox at a neighboring residence, causing damages.

On August 4, 2021, at approximately 11:34 p.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on State Route 3 in the town of Plattsburgh on a 1998 Ford Explorer, when troopers observed the operator throwing a bottle out of the driver side window.

On August 4, 2021, at approximately 4:06 p.m., State Police responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on State Route 30, in the town of Long Lake, near South Pond.

On August 1, 2021, at approximately 10:26 p.m. State Police responded to a report of a burglary at a residence on Penny Lane in the town of Malone.

On July 29, 2021, at approximately 7 p.m., a stolen vehicle from Vermont was reported to be on the Lake Champlain Ferry, enroute to New York. The 2016 Jeep Wrangler was soon located by law enforcement in the town of Plattsburgh.

On August 1, 2021, at approximately 5:37 a.m., State Police responded to a residence on South Street in the village of Champlain for report of a domestic dispute.

On August 1, 2021, at approximately 3:55 p.m., State Police responded to a residence on Delaware Street in the village of Rouses Point for a report of a man with a knife.

On August 1, 2021, at approximately 5:50 p.m., State Police responded to a report of a one-car crash on State Route 9N near Clintonville Road in the town of AuSable.
