On February 10, 2021 at approximately 8:24 a.m., New York State Police at Binghamton and the New York State Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit responded to a report of a dump truck into a residence.

Garbage strikes snow plow on I-88 west resulting in road closure on Tuesday

On February 9, 2021 at approximately 11:28 a.m., New York State Police at Sidney responded to Interstate 88 west in the town of Bainbridge for a two-vehicle crash involving a New York State Department of Transportation Plow and a garbage truck.

Over 60 people arrested in Troop C in January for driving while intoxicated/impaired

62 people were arrested in the month of January for Driving While Intoxicated or Impaired by Drugs in Troop C.  Troop C's patrol area includes seven counties; Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Tioga and Tompkins.

State Police to crack down on impaired and reckless driving during Super Bowl weekend

The New York State Police will crack down on impaired and reckless driving during Super Bowl weekend. The special STOP-DWI enforcement campaign will include increased patrols and sobriety checkpoints to deter, identify, and arrest impaired drivers, as well as underage drinker enforcement. The enforcement initiative runs from Friday, February 5 through Monday, February 8.
