On August 17, 2022, New York State Police at Oneonta and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Adam S. Bright, age 39 of East Meredith, NY for numerous felonies related to the crash from May.
Troopers at State Police Oneonta are looking to identify the male pictured below. He’s accused of walking out of Walmart on State Route 23 in the town of Oneonta without paying for several items.

On August 14, 2022, at approximately 5:44 p.m., New York State Police at Sidney were dispatched by Chenango County 911 to a report of a two-vehicle crash on State Route 7 in the town of Afton.
On August 12, 2022, at approximately 6:45 p.m., New York State Police were dispatched by Delaware County 911 to Huckleberry Hill Road in the town of Middletown for a report of a missing 79-year-old woman with dementia.
The New York State Police at Oneonta are investigating the discovery of unidentified human remains, located in a remote area in the town of Morris, Otsego County.
On August 5, 2022, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Justin T. Valk, age 46, of Davenport, NY for the class “C” felony of Manslaughter in the second degree, and the class “E” felony of Criminally Negligent Homicide.
In the month of July, members from Troop "C" removed 36 impaired drivers off the roadways. Troop "C" encompasses seven counties: Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Tioga and Tompkins counties.
