Troopers thwart burglary in progress

New York State Police at Sidney arrested two men who were in the process of burglarizing a residence in the town of Guilford.  Both men were charged with felony of Burglary in the third degree.

NYSP Owego looking for truck used in burglary

New York State Police are looking for the public’s assistance in locating the pictured Ford pick-up.  The truck was used during a burglary at Got Mulch in the town of Tioga just after 9 a.m. on January 5, 2020.  A red Craftsman toolbox was stolen from the property.

Three men have been arrested and each charged with the felony of Criminal Mischief in the third degree after the men vandalized the fabric and craft aisle at the Walmart in Oneonta.

New York State Police in Troop C held several sobriety checkpoints and had increased patrols during Super Bowl weekend.  The effort cracks down on impaired and reckless driving and takes impaired drivers off the roadways.

State Police to crack down on impaired and reckless driving during Super Bowl weekend

The New York State Police will crack down on impaired and reckless driving during Super Bowl weekend. The special STOP-DWI enforcement campaign will include increased patrols and sobriety checkpoints to deter, identify, and arrest impaired drivers, as well as underage drinker enforcement. The enforcement initiative runs from Saturday, February 1 through Monday, February 3.

No arrests in Chenango County during Underage Drinking Enforcement Detail

The New York State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Enforcement Detail in Chenango County on January 23, 2020. All fifteen retail establishments were found to be in compliance with no sale to alcohol to an underage operative.
