James R. Stevens Jr., age 41 from Hannibal, NY was arrested for Assault 2^nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, Menacing 2^nd degree, Criminal Mischief 4^th degree, Resisting Arrest, and Sexual Abuse 3^rd degree.  

Louis E. Fratangelo Jr. was arrested on multiple felony counts following an investigation conducted by State Police, Manlius Police, and the FBI regarding the online sexual exploitation of children.

The crash occurred last evening on State Route 26 in the area of the Carthage High School.

On April 26th, the New York State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative in Oneida County.

Jeffrey R. Lawson, age 28 was arrested for Assault 2^nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4^th degree.

Troopers arrested Edgar L. Richardson, age 45 from Watertown, NY for Criminal Mischief 2^nd degree, Grand Larceny 4^th degree, and Criminal Trespass 3^rd degree. 

Dandre Q. Terry, age 21 from Syracuse was arrested for sexual abuse of a child and utilizing various social media platforms to distribute child sexual exploitation material. 

An investigation conducted by the New York State Police with assistance from the Syracuse Police Department, SEFCU staff, and the Town of Colonie Police Department quickly identified a Syracuse woman who was arrested on multiple felonies.

A Kansas man was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2^nd Degree following a traffic stop.

A passenger on the school bus has succumbed to her injuries sustained in an early morning crash yesterday with a pickup truck at the intersection of County Route 1 and County Route 6 in the town of New Haven, Oswego County. 

Gavin was last seen wearing black pants, a black sweatshirt, and a white t-shirt, and carrying a camouflage backpack.

The 18-foot trailer was stolen from a family farm on Eureka Road in the town of Westmoreland sometime between February 25^th and March 20, 2023.

The property damage accident occurred on Interstate 81 at milepost marker 120 in the town of Richland, Oswego County.

On March 18th, the New York State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative in Lewis County to insure that retail establishments are in compliance with the sale of alcohol to individuals under the age of 21.

State Police and tow truck operators are working to clear a number of separate property damage motor vehicle crashes on the New York Thruway in both directions between Exits 31 and 32 in Oneida County.

The crash occurred on State Route 342 just west of LeRay Street in the town of LeRay.

Troopers discovered a chocolate lab, named “Chance”, severely emaciated in a back room of a residence in West Monroe. 

45-year-old Janel M. Cavallero, from Portland, Maine was arrested for stealing approximately $19,780 from various Empower FCU branches in Onondaga County in June 2022.

Troopers are attempting to locate 10-year-old Hope G. Cobb and her 11-year-old brother, Samuel D. Cobb who are both missing and is believed to be with their non-custodial mother, Angela Cobb.

Troopers continue to investigate an ATV accident that occurred in a wooded area near Route 11A in the town of Lafayette, Onondaga County.

Troopers arrested 58-year-old Paul-Carlos Palenzuela, from Frankfort, NY for (2) counts of New York State Agriculture and Markets Law §353 - Overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance, a class “A” misdemeanor and (1) count of Abandonment of an Animal, an unclassified misdemeanor.

Douglas N. Clark, age 58, from Barneveld, NY, was arrested for Aggravated DWI, with a BAC of .21%, Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident 1^st degree, and several vehicle and traffic violations.

State Police arrested Terry L. McKeever, age 68 from Philadelphia, NY for Menacing 2^nd degree, a class “A” misdemeanor, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4^th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor.

Sheriff Brian Schenck reports that on 2/8/2023 the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported larceny complaint in the Town of Throop. It was reported that an elderly couple had been contacted by a subject via telephone claiming to be their grandson. 

The individual entered the Runnings store on Pioneer Plaza Drive in Watertown and was seen taking several clothing items and a gas-powered mini chain saw and exiting the store without rendering payment.

The special STOP-DWI enforcement campaign, funded by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, will include increased patrols and sobriety checkpoints to deter, identify, and arrest impaired drivers, as well as underage drinker enforcement. The enforcement initiative runs from Friday, February 10, 2023, through Monday, February 13, 2023.

State Police is hosting a FREE car seat safety check event on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Troopers have identified the individual captured on surveillance video regarding an investigation into a forcible touching complaint in the town of Watertown.

Investigators seized 12.9 ounces (367 grams) of Cocaine, 10.6 ounces (301.5 grams) of heroin/fentanyl, 4.5 grams of MDMA, Oxycodone Pills, and 3.4 (97 grams) of Cannabis. They also seized $7,446 in US currency, (10) illegally possessed firearms/weapons, and recovered one stolen vehicle.

On January 9, 2023, State Police arrested Cody A. Thomas, 23, of Oswego, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, Menacing 3rd degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Burglary 1st degree and Burglary 2nd degree.

Troopers are searching for 15-year-old Taylor Diehl who has been missing since January 8th from the  Village of Remsen.

Troopers arrested 37-year-old Thomas R. Butts from Cazenovia, NY for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, and Failure to Safely Store Firearms 1st degree.

A State Police BCI vehicle was struck in the rear while waiting to turn into the parking lot of SP Watertown. The impact of the crash forced the investigator's vehicle into the southbound lane, where it was struck by a pickup truck head-on. 

The John Deere 790 compact tractor was stolen from a residence in the Town of Denmark, on or about December 21, 2022, and had a 6-foot yellow 3-point brush hog that was attached at the time it was stolen.

Troopers have located 70-year-old Atif Hasan in good health.

Two handguns, a loaded Ruger 5.7 semi-automatic pistol, and a loaded Glock17 9mm semi-automatic pistol were recovered on I-690 eastbound near Spectrum.

The New York State Police in Painted Post announce the arrest of 51-year-old Lauren S. Brooks, of West Edmeston, New York.  Brooks was arrested following an investigation and subsequent indictment by the Steuben County Grand Jury, for contact he had with a minor child. These incidents of contact occurred while Brooks resided in the town of Corning from 2012-2016.

Troopers arrested David L. Eads, age 51 from Watertown, NY for Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, an A-II felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class “A” misdemeanor.

Extreme winds, whiteout conditions, and dangerously cold temperatures will make travel on Friday, December 23, and Saturday, December 24, will make travel conditions highly dangerous. State Police advise motorists to drive only for emergency purposes. If you are on the roadways make sure you have a full tank of gas, food, and extra warming items in your vehicle in case emergency vehicles have a delayed response due to the extreme storm conditions.

The roll-over crash occurred on State Route 481 northbound, north of the Morgan Road overpass, in the town of Clay, Onondaga County.

Trudy Latimer, from Felts Mills, NY was arrested for operating as a hearing aid dispenser trainee under a forged license, and for providing false information when completing an application for employment by saying she has not been convicted of a crime, which she knew to be false as she has two prior felony convictions.

Troopers arrested Matthew D. McLean from Mexico, NY, for (1) count of Possession of Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “E” felony, and Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “D” felony.

On November 17, 2022, around 6:15 p.m., State Police were called to State Route 37 and Wilson Road in the town of Theresa for a report of a three vehicle crash.

State Police in Troop D is hosting a FREE car seat safety check event on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 

Following a two-hour search, the child was located walking along the shoulder of the roadway in the area of Kathrine Street and North Street which is over a mile from her house.

Simeon L. Kent, age 50 from Constableville, NY was arrested for Criminal Contempt 1^st degree and Harassment 2^nd degree after he violated an order of protection during a domestic dispute in the village of Constableville, Lewis County.  

On or around October 19, 2022, a 2015 Honda Rincon camo in color and a 2007 Honda Rincon red in color, were both stolen from a seasonal camp on Hogsback Road in the Town of Diana.

Cameron P. Hasner, age 34 from Watertown, NY was arrested on a 21-count indictment warrant for defrauding a number of individuals throughout Jefferson County and other counties in NY State.

The crash occurred Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of State Route 26 and County Route 2 in the town of Alexandria.

Troopers continue to investigate the crash that occurred at the intersection of State Route 12 and State Route 26 in the village of Alexandria Bay.

Willis T. Baughman (57) from Theresa, NY was arrested for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3^rd degree, a class “D” felony.

An investigation determined an inmate at the Central New York Psychiatric Center in Marcy punched another inmate in the head over a dispute.  As a result of this one punch, the victim was hospitalized and eventually succumbed to his injuries at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in November 2021.

The crash occurred on County Route 31, south of State Route 11 in the town of Pamelia, Jefferson County.

The female suspect in the surveillance photo is wanted for questioning after she was captured on camera on two separate occasions walking out of the store with merchandise without rendering payment.

Mrs. Karolyn Scott from Clay stopped by the State Police station in North Syracuse yesterday to Thank Trooper Dominic Williams and Trooper Eric Hudson for their life-saving efforts after she had a severe heart attack in her vehicle last February.

A Carthage woman was arrested and charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st degree (PL 260.20) and Prohibited Sale of Alcohol to a Person under twenty-one years of age (ABC Law 65).

On August 24^th, 2022, 43 year-old Jeffrey V. Kuney of Canandaigua NY, was arrested for Criminal Sex Act 1^st  Degree, (Class B Felony), and Criminal Sale of Controlled Substance 3^rd Degree, (Class B Felony), for crimes which occurred in the town of Canandaigua.  These charges are the result of an additional victim coming forward after learning of Kuney’s arrest for Rape 1^st Degree on July 25^th.

 Troopers arrested Neil W. Ashley, age 40 from Syracuse, NY for Kidnapping 2^nd degree, a class “B” felony.
