State Police Crackdown on Drunk and Drugged Driving During the July 4th Holiday Weekend.

The New York State Police will increase patrols and crack down on drunk and drugged driving and other traffic infractions this 4th of July weekend. State Troopers will conduct sobriety checkpoints and target reckless and aggressive driving statewide to keep New York highways safe during one of the busiest summer holidays for travel.

UPDATE: State Police are asking for assistance locating missing man from Marion.

 

UPDATE: Pryce has been located and is in police custody. 

The State Police are currently looking for Michael C. Pryce, age 28, from Wayne County, reported missing on Sunday, June 27th.  Mr. Pryce had suffered a head injury prior to him being reported missing and has a large laceration on the back of his head.

Three Rochester residents arrested on robbery and burglary charges following a home invasion investigation in Elmira.

The New York State Police report the arrests of Myrone L. Warr, 39, Benny T. Warr, 60, and Bryan A. Warr, 61, all of Rochester, on Robbery 1st degree and Burlgary 1st degree charges.

State Police investigate a fatal accident on I-390 in the city of Rochester

At approximately 1:08 p.m., the State Police responded to I-390 southbound near the Kendrick Road overpass for a report of a 1 car serious injury accident.  When troopers arrived on scene, it was clear, that the operator had a medical emergency while driving.

State Police arrest an Elmira man for Robbery 1st Degree after pursuit.

On June 22, 2021, the New York State Police in Horseheads arrested Brandon Allwood, age 24, from Elmira, New York for Robbery 1st Degree, a class B Felony, and numerous vehicle and traffic law violations following a pursuit which originated in the town of Big Flats, Chemung County.

State Police investigate fatal accident in Walworth.

UPDATE: 

The State Police release the name of the motorist killed last night on St-Rte 350 in Walworth.

On June 16, 2021, at approximately 8:46 p.m., the State Police responded to a serious injury accident on St-Rt 350 in the town of Walworth. A motorist was southbound on St-Rte 350, and for an unknown reason, left the roadway

and struck a tree.

On June 16, 2021, at approximately 8:46 p.m., the State Police responded to a serious injury accident on St-Rt 350 in the town of Walworth. A motorist was southbound on St-Rte 350, and for an unknown reason, left the roadway and struck a tree.

UPDATE: State Police assisted the Utica Police Department with the apprehension of a subject who stole an ambulance.

State Police assisted the Utica Police Department with the apprehension of a subject who stole an ambulance.  At approximately 10:42 a.m., the State Police on the Thruway attempted to stop the stolen ambulance and the operator refused to comply and the pursuit was terminated by the State Police.

State Police investigate a car vs pedestrian serious injury accident in the town of Chemung.

On June 7, 2021, at approximately 4:48 a.m., the State Police responded to a car vs. pedestrian serious injury accident on Wyncoop Creek Road in the town of Chemung.   A garbage truck had stopped in the roadway when an employee stepped off the back, and walked into the oncoming lane and was struck by a passenger vehicle.

State Police in Horseheads arrest 4 subjects on Kidnapping charges.

On June 6, 2021, Troopers from the New York State Police barracks at Horseheads were dispatched to a reported kidnapping in progress involving a vehicle on Interstate 86.  While searching for the vehicle, information was received by the Chemung County 911 Center that located the vehicle near 104 Wygant Road in the town of Horseheads.
