On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, troopers from SP Lyons arrested Corie A. Arnold, age 50, of Clyde, on an arrest warrant for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5^th Degree, and Theft of Services.  

New York State Police in Williamson, NY report the arrest of a Wayne County man after receiving several complaints from area residents who reported being defrauded out of money after hiring a snow plowing contractor.  

On March 4, 2023, the State Police were notified of a Bias related crime that occurred at the Seneca Lake State Park.  At approximately 8:00 p.m., 3 individuals were observed leaving the area where a racial slur was painted on an area of concrete.

Gavin was last seen wearing black pants, a black sweatshirt, and a white t-shirt, and carrying a camouflage backpack.

On Friday March 17^th, 2023, troopers from SP North Hornell initiated a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle in the city of Hornell.

On Saturday, March 18, 2023, troopers from SP Auburn responded to a vehicle driving the wrong way on Arterial East in the town of Aurelius. 

On Saturday, March 18, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo observed a vehicle fail to keep right and performed an unsafe turn on State Route 89 in the town of Seneca Falls. 

On Friday, March 17, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo observed a vehicle speeding on State Route 96A in the town of Willard. 

On Friday, March 17, 2023, troopers from SP Auburn conducted a DWI road check on Clark Street Road in the town of Aurelius.  

On Thursday, March 16, 2023, troopers from SP Williamson observed a vehicle with an inadequate tail light on State Route 104 in the town of Williamson. 

On Mach 17, 2023, at about 11:00 p.m., a state trooper attempted to stop a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser for no license plates on Lake Avenue in the city of Rochester.

On March 15, 2023, State Police arrested Michael Stewart, 48, of Cameron, NY,  on multiple charges.

On Monday March 13^th 2023, troopers in Painted Post responded to a larceny report at the Wal-Mart in the Town of Erwin.

On Monday March 13^th 2023, Troopers from SP Bath responded to a report of a male breaking things at a residence on Main Street in the village of Avoca.

Gage P. Heffner, 29, from Lindley, NY is wanted by the State Police in Painted Post for multiple felony warrants stemming from physical domestic disputes where he violated court orders of protection by causing harm to the victim.

On March 12^th 2023, Troopers from SP Wayland responded to an erratic driver complaint on Mill Street.in the village of Cohocton. 

On Saturday March 11^th 2023, troopers from SP Painted Post responded to the Wal-Mart in the town of Erwin for a larceny report.

On Sunday, March 12, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo observed a vehicle speeding on State Route 318 in the town of Junius. 

On Sunday, March 12, 2023, troopers from SP Lyons observed a vehicle making an improper turn on Vienna Road in the town of Palmyra. 

On Sunday, March 12, 2023, troopers from SP Williamson arrested Stephanie Akers, age 24, of Syracuse, on bench warrants for Identity Theft 3^rd Degree, and Grand Larceny 4^th Degree.

The State Police today announced that they will step up speed enforcement efforts along the New York portion of U.S. Highway 20 on March 14, 2023. 

On March 9, 2023, at approximately 5:43 p.m., the State Police in Horseheads responded to a disturbance at Best Buy, in the town of Big Flats. The individual involved, Tylor M. Cavllaro, age 25, from Campbell, attempted to the leave the scene in his vehicle. 

On March 8, 2023, at approximately 4:45 p.m., the State Police in Horseheads responded to a residence in the village of Horseheads regarding an ongoing complaint.

On March 8, 2023, at approximately 11:27 a.m., the State Police responded to the area of State Route 21 near Isaman Road in the town of Wayland, for a 2-car motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment. 

On March 7^th  2023, troopers from SP Bath responded to the Love’s Travel Stop in the Town of Bath for a report of an employee that stole merchandise from the store on February 23^rd 2023.

On March 6, 2023, the State Police Lyons Investigators arrested three males for Robbery 1^st Degree, Burglary 1^st Degree, and Kidnapping 2^nd Degree.   

On March 5, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo observed a vehicle fail to yield to a motor vehicle while entering the roadway on State Route 5 in the town of Waterloo. 

On March 4, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Route 414 in the town of Tyre. 

On March 2, 2023, troopers from SP Wolcott observed a known suspect wanted on a warrant on North Street in the village of Wolcott. 

On March 4^th, 2023, Troopers from SP Painted Post responded to a report of an Order of Protection Violation at a residence on County Route 119 in the Town of Rathbone.

On March 3^rd, 2023, Troopers from SP Wayland were dispatched to Avery Hollow Road in the town of Cohocton for a report of a trespass in progress.

Two adults and a 16-year-old juvenile were arrested today in Rochester for their involvement in the home invasion.

On March 3, 2023, State Police Investigators in Lyons arrested Christopher Cartwright, age 49, of Lyons, on the criminal charge of Arson 3rd Degree, (Class C Felony). 

On February 28, 2023, troopers from SP Auburn responded to a suspicious person on Broadway Road in the town of Owasco. 

On February 28, 2023, troopers from SP Williamson responded to a larceny at Beechwood State Park in the town of Sodus.  Bradley R. Preston, age 26, of Sodus, was subsequently arrested for Petit Larceny.  

On February 28, 2023, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the State Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Weaver Street in the city of Rochester of a motorist who was stopped in the middle of the roadway blocking traffic. The operator fled when the marked State Police unit activated its emergency lights and a brief pursuit ensued. During the pursuit two .45 caliber handguns and narcotics were thrown from the vehicle that police recovered.

On February 24, 2023, troopers in Wayland responded to a property damage accident at the Jasper-Troupsburg School in the Town of Greenwood.

On February 24, 2023, troopers in Painted Post responded to America’s Best Value Inn in Painted Post for a disturbance and report that a subject was damaging property.

On February 24, 2023, troopers in Bath responded to the area of State Route 53 and Reservoir Road in the town of Prattsburgh for a motor vehicle accident.  

On February 23, 2023, troopers from SP Lyons arrested Kalia S. Streeter, age 19, of Clyde, for Assault 2^nd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4^th Degree, stemming from a domestic incident on January 29, 2023. 

On February 23, 2023, troopers from SP Wolcott responded to a suspicious vehicle on Wolcott Spring Lake Road in the town of Butler. 

On February 23, 2023, troopers from SP Wayland responded to Sandy Hill Road in the Town of Dansville for a report of an Order of Protection Violation.

On February 23, 2023, at approximately 1:32 p.m., the State Police in Rochester initiated a traffic stop of a motorist on Hudson Avenue in the city of Rochester.

On February 18, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo responded to a suspicious incident at Del Lago in the town of Tyre. 

On February 17, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo observed a vehicle with one headlight on Main Street in the town of Waterloo. 

UPDATE: 

State Police update last nights, 1 car crash, on I-490 westbound near Winton Road in the city of Rochester.  Troopers announce, Berneather Hejduk, age 66, of Rochester, was pronounced deceased after the vehicle she was operating struck a jersey barrier off the north shoulder. 

Investigators are not ruling anything out at this time, but say she may have had a medical event leading up to the crash.

More information will be released when it becomes available.

On February 19, 2023, at approximately 7:01 p.m., the State Police responded to a 1 vehicle - 1 person serious accident on I-490 westbound, just west of Winton Road in the city of Rochester.  

On February 16, 2023, the State Police responded to a fatal house fire located at 6003 Bonny Hill Road in the town of Bath.  

On February 14^th, 2023, troopers Painted Post responded to Interstate 86 in the town of Corning for a check the welfare report.

On February 12, 2023, troopers in Wayland responded to a one vehicle traffic accident into a house on State Route 21 in the town of Cohocton. 

The State Police is looking for the public's assistance with identifying the following individual. 

UPDATE:

State Police release the name of the pedestrian struck on St-Rte 104 Friday morning.  Megan Tuck, age 37, of Rochester has died as a result of injuries, after being struck by a motorist while walking on St-Rte 104 in the city of Rochester.

The investigation is continuing.

On February 17, 2023, at approximately 2:10 a.m., the State Police responded to a pedestrian struck by a motorist on St-Rte 104 eastbound near the Culver Road exit.  When troopers arrived, they learned that an adult female was walking in the center lane of the eastbound lanes when she was struck by a motorist operating a pickup truck, unable to avoid her.  That pickup truck was struck from behind by a second motorist also traveling eastbound.

On February 16, 2023, the New York State Police arrested Aaron L. Rucker, age 45, of Rochester for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2^nd Degree, 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3^rd Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4^th Degree, and Criminal Possession of Cannabis 3^rd Degree.

The New York State Police out of the Horseheads Barracks arrested Jason F. Frycek, age 43, from Big Flats, NY for Grand Larceny 3^rd Degree, a Class D Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon, a Class C Felony, after an investigation into the theft of approximately $20,0000 in silver. 

On February 12, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo responded to a larceny at Ralph Lauren in the town of Junius. 

On February 11, 2023, troopers from SP Auburn responded to a motor vehicle accident on East Genesee Street in the town of Sennett. 

On Saturday, February 11, 2023, troopers from SP Auburn responded to an incident on Franklin Street Road in the town of Sennett. 

On Saturday, February 11, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo responded to a larceny at Champions in the town of Junius. 

On February 12, 2023, the State Police responded to a residence on St- Rte 88 in the town of Arcadia for a report of a deceased person. 

On February 11^th, 2023, the State Police in Painted Post responded to a report of a suspicious person at the Wal-Mart in Painted Post. The individual was located at a nearby location by a Steuben County Sheriff’s Deputy.

UPDATE:      February 13, 2023

The State Police announce the name of the individual killed in Saturday’s accident in the town of Williamson.  Alexander K. Ray, age 32, from Columbus, Ohio died when the vehicle he was operating on Ridge Road left the roadway, and struck a parked vehicle, a shed, and a residence.

The investigation is continuing.

On February 11, 2023, at approximately 4:16 p.m., the State Police observed a speeding vehicle traveling eastbound on Ridge Road in the town of Williamson and conducted a traffic stop.   

On February 9^th, 2023, troopers in Painted Post conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for various traffic violations on State Route 417 in the town of Tuscarora. 

On Thursday February 9^th, 2023, troopers in Painted Post observed a suspicious vehicle on Clendenning Road in the town of Lindley.

On Thursday February 9^th, 2023, Troopers from SP Wayland were dispatched to I-390 near Exit 3 for a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lane. 

On Wednesday, February 8, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo observed a vehicle with an expired registration on State Route 318 in the town of Junius. 

The New York State Police will crack down on impaired and reckless driving during Super Bowl weekend. The special STOP-DWI enforcement campaign, funded by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, will include increased patrols and sobriety checkpoints to deter, identify, and arrest impaired drivers, as well as underage drinker enforcement. The enforcement initiative runs from Friday, February 10, 2023, through Monday, February 13, 2023.

UPDATE:  The State Police announce the name of the motorist killed in Friday’s crash in the town of Farmington.  Cole Estey, age 35, from Clifton Springs was killed when the vehicle he was operating on Shortsville Road, left the roadway and struck a tree.

The investigation is continuing at this time.

On Friday, February 10, 2023, at approximately 1:55 p.m., New York State Police were dispatched to a car into a tree, with the car fully engulfed and the operator still trapped inside, on Shortsville Road, west of County Road 28, in the town of Farmington, NY. 

Sheriff Brian Schenck reports that on 2/8/2023 the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported larceny complaint in the Town of Throop. It was reported that an elderly couple had been contacted by a subject via telephone claiming to be their grandson. 

On February 10, 2023, at approximately 12:01a.m., State Police in Montour Falls conducted a traffic stop of a motorist on State Route 14A, in the town of Barrington.

On February 8, 2023, at approximately 5:59p.m., State Police out of Horseheads responded to a residence on Main Street, in the town of Veteran, for a domestic incident.

West, age 19, of Campbell, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, and traffic violations.  

On Saturday February 4^th, 2023, Troopers from SP North Hornell responded to a rollover accident on State Route 36 in the Town of Hornellsville. 

On Friday February 2^nd, 2023, Troopers from SP Painted Post received a complaint of a violation of an Order of Protection Violation in the Town of Corning.  

On Friday February 3^rd, 2023, Troopers from SP Bath received information regarding a Criminal Impersonation during a traffic stop that took place January 26, 2023.  On the 26^th troopers stopped a motorist who identified himself as his brother and a ticket was issued.  After further investigation, troopers identified the suspect as Dennis A. Crowley, age 37 of Bath.

On February 2, 2023, at approximately 10:53a.m., the State Police out of Horseheads arrested Jake L. Mattison, age 25, from Beaver Dams, for Trespassing.

On February 1, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo observed a person throwing refuse from a vehicle on Waterloo Geneva Road in the town of Waterloo. 

On February 1st, 2023, troopers from SP Painted Post received a harassment complaint regarding threatening voicemails at a residence in the Town of Corning.

On January 28, 2023, at approximately 9:46p.m., State Police out of Big Flats conducted a traffic stop on State Route 223, in the town of Erin. While interviewing the driver, Melanie A. Corigliano, age 47, from Amityville, the trooper detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from Corigliano.

On January 27, 2023, at approximately 8:36p.m., State Police out of Montour Falls responded to a residence in the village of Burdett for report of a possible Burglary.

On Sunday January 29, 2023, Troopers from SP Painted Post responded to the Wal-Mart in Painted Post for a larceny in progress.

On Monday January 30, 2023, Troopers from SP Painted Post responded to the Kwik Fill in the Town of Erwin for a larceny report. Troopers located the suspect at the Erwin Motel and subsequently arrested Edward S. Johnson, age 51, of Painted Post, for Petit Larceny.

On Sunday, January 29, 2023, troopers from SP Williamson observed a vehicle speeding on State Route 104 in the town of Ontario. 

On Sunday, January 29, 2023, troopers from SP Lyons responded to a larceny at Aldi’s in the town of Lyons. 

On Friday, January 27, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo observed a vehicle with inadequate plate lights on Packwood Road in the town of Waterloo.  .

On January 26, 2023, at approximately 2:14a.m., State Police out of Horseheads conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 86, in the Town of Chemung. .

On January 24, 2023, at approximately 10:00 a.m., State Police out of Dundee responded to the Dandy Mini Mart for larceny of items.

On Thursday, January 26, 2023, troopers from SP Auburn responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Route 41A in the town of Sempronius. 

On January 25, 2023, at approximately 10:15 a.m., the State Police responded to a report of a 1 car - 1 person accident on East Main Street in the village of Clifton Springs.

On January 24, 2023, at approximately 11:23 p.m., the State Police in Bath responded to a 1 person - 1 vehicle fatal accident on St-Rte 415 in the town of Campbell. 

The New York State Police out of the Horseheads Barracks arrested Chevis G. Sargent, age 26, from Addison, NY for Rape 1^st Degree, a Class B Felony, after an investigation into a sexual assault which occurred in the town of Horseheads on January 23, 2023.

On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, troopers from SP Auburn observed a vehicle failing to keep right on Grant Avenue Road in the town of Sennett. 

On Monday, January 23, 2023, troopers from SP Wolcott observed a vehicle speeding on State Route 89 in the town of Butler. 

On Sunday, January 22, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo observed a vehicle with a suspended registration on Fall Street in the town of Seneca Falls. 

On Sunday, January 22, 2023, troopers from SP Williamson responded to a motor vehicle accident on Old Ridge Street in the town of Williamson. 

On Saturday, January 21, 2023, troopers from SP Walworth observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign on Hallenbeck Street in the city of Geneva. 

On January 22, 2023, at approximately 10:15 a.m., State Police out of Horseheads conducted a traffic stop on State Route 13, in the Town of Veteran, for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.  

On January 20, 2023, at approximately 9:23 a.m., State Police out of Dundee responded to a residence on Highland Drive, in the village of Dundee, for a disturbance.

On January 19, 2023, at approximately 1:30 a.m., State Police out of Wellsburg conducted a traffic stop on S. Walnut Street, in the City of Elmira, for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. While interviewing the driver, Travis E. Ladd, age 31, from Pine City, the trooper detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from Ladd.

On January 18, 2023, at approximately 6:51p.m., State Police out of Horseheads were investigating an incident when it was discovered that Richard N. Fiore, age 36, from Horseheads, had violated an active order of protection against a female.

On January 20, 2023, Troopers from SP Bath conducted a traffic stop on a UTV for vehicle and traffic law violations on County Route 17 and Moss Hill Rd in the Town of Bradford. 

State Police Catskill arrested an Albany man with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance following a traffic stop in the village of Catskill

On Thursday, January 19, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Route 318 in the town of Junius. 

On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, troopers from SP Lyons observed a vehicle speeding on State Route 31 in the town of Macedon. 

The New York State Police today announced the results of a January 17, 2023, speed enforcement initiative along the New York portion of U.S. Highway 20.

On Thursday, January 19, 2023, Troopers from SP Painted Post responded to the Erwin Motel located at 806 Addison Road in the town of Erwin for a harassment complaint.

On January 4, 2023, the New York State Intelligence Center (NYSIC) received a crime tip that reported Raymond G. Girard has been involved in numerous vehicle break-ins in Monroe County and surrounding counties.   

On January 16, 2023, at approximately 9:50p.m., State Police out of Horseheads responded to Wal-Mart, in the Town of Horseheads, for report of a larceny.

On January 15, 2023, at approximately 1:41p.m., State Police out of Horseheads responded to a residence in the Town of Big Flats for report of a suspicious person.

On January 14, 2023, at approximately 12:17a.m., State Police out of Big Flats responded to the Bryne Dairy, in the town of Horseheads, for an unresponsive male inside a vehicle. 

On January 14, 2023, State Police out of Horseheads arrested Brandon J. Rogers, age 20, from Elmira, for Petit Larceny.

On January 13, 2023, at approximately 2:11p.m., State Police out of Horseheads conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.

On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, Troopers from SP Painted Post responded to West Main Street in the Town of Woodull for a report of an Order of Protection Violation. 

On Tuesday January 17, 2023, Troopers from SP Bath responded to a larceny in progress at the Loves Travel Center located at 7748 State Route 53 in the Town of Bath.

On Saturday, January 14, 2023, troopers from SP Auburn responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Route 34 in the town of Genoa. 

On Saturday, January 14, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Route 96 in the town of Waterloo.  

The New York State Police out of the Horseheads Barracks arrested several persons following a vehicle and traffic stop on State Route 13 in the Town of Veteran.  State Police stopped a vehicle for speeding on State Route 13 in the Town of Veteran and ascertained that the vehicle had been reported stolen in the City of Ithaca.  Following an investigation at the scene a quantity of cocaine and four illegal loaded handguns were located inside the vehicle. 

On January 16, 2023, at approximately 3:15 p.m., the State Police attempted to stop an operator of a reported stolen vehicle in Rochester.  The operator of that vehicle refused to comply and led troopers on a brief pursuit until crashing on Avenue A near Gladys Street.

On Saturday, January 14, 2023, Troopers from SP Bath observed a vehicle speeding on Interstate 86 in the Town of Bath.

On Saturday, January 14, 2023, Troopers from SP Painted Post responded to a complaint of an erratic driver on Interstate 99 in the Town of Erwin.

On Friday, January 13, 2023, Troopers from SP Painted Post were dispatched to a possible intoxicated driver in a ditch on County Route 119 in the Town of Addison.

On January 15, 2023, State Troopers were on Lake Avenue in the city of Rochester and observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Lake Avenue with no headlights.

On January 11, 2023, at approximately 3:15 p.m., the State Police attempted to stop a motorist on I-490 eastbound near exit 3, (Churchville), who was wanted by the State Police and other surrounding agencies on several warrant charges.  

On Monday, January 9, 2023, troopers from SP Auburn observed a vehicle run through a red light on State Street in the city of Auburn. 

On Monday, January 9, 2023, troopers from SP Waterloo observed a vehicle failing to keep right on Black Brook Road in the town of Tyre. 

On Sunday, January 8, 2023, troopers from SP Lyons observed a vehicle failing to maintain the lane of travel on State Route 14 in the town of Lyons. 

On Saturday, January 7, 2023, troopers from SP Auburn observed a vehicle speeding on State Route 38 in the town of Locke. 

The New York State Police and the Seneca County District Attorney’s Office investigated an incident at Five Points Correctional Facility (6600 State Route 96 Romulus, NY).  On January 31, 2022, while in the facility’s mess hall, multiple incarcerated persons initiated a physical fight with corrections officers. 

UPDATE:

State Police release the name of the individual killed in Sunday’s fatal crash on St-Rte 104 at Five Mile Line Road in Webster.  Greg Hixenbaugh, age 52, from Churchville was killed when his vehicle crashed into the bridge abutment on St-Rte 104 and Five Mile Line Road.

The investigation is continuing.

The State Police announce that John Abrams, the missing teen last seen at the Bloomfield Elementary School from yesterday was located safe, and in good health, at approximately 5:00 p.m., in the area of Vincent Hill Road in the town of Bristol.

MISSING:

The State Police is looking for a missing teen, John Abrams, age 14, from Honeoye, last seen at the Bloomfield Elementary School for a school event.  John is described as 5'05", 140 pounds, brown hair, and brown eyes.

On December 28, 2022, at approximately 11:20 p.m., the State Police attempted to stop a motorist operating a stolen vehicle on Monroe Avenue near I-490, when the operator refused to comply.

The operator fled through several city streets, onto I-490, and then to the NYS Thruway towards Canandaigua.  On the Thruway, troopers were able to successfully deploy stop sticks and flattened 3 tires.

On Wednesday, December 28, 2022, troopers from SP Auburn observed a suspicious vehicle on East Venice Road in the town of Venice. 

On December 25^th, 2022, State Police in Canandaigua arrested 25 year-old Matthew J. Beck Jr., of Manchester NY, for Rape 1^st Degree (Class B felony) subsequent to a sexual assault on a physically helpless woman which occurred in the village of Manchester.

The New York State Police in Painted Post announce the arrest of 51-year-old Lauren S. Brooks, of West Edmeston, New York.  Brooks was arrested following an investigation and subsequent indictment by the Steuben County Grand Jury, for contact he had with a minor child. These incidents of contact occurred while Brooks resided in the town of Corning from 2012-2016.

Extreme winds, white out conditions and dangerously cold temperatures on Friday, December 23, and Saturday, December 24, will make travel conditions highly dangerous. State Police advise motorists to drive only for emergency purposes. If you are on the roadways make sure you have a full tank of gas, food and extra warming items in your vehicle in case emergency vehicles have a delayed response due to the extreme storm conditions. Use your best judgment to determine if driving is prudent. 

On December 20, 2022, Investigators out of State Police Lyons arrested Allen M. Juitt, 33, of Newark, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree- Loaded Firearm, and Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree. 

On December 17, 2022, at approximately 11:49 a.m., the State Police responded to a 2 vehicle, serious injury accident on St Rte. 5 & 20, ( Clark Street Road), in the town of Aurelius. 

On December 17, 2022, at approximately 10:20 a.m., the State Police responded to a report of a 2 vehicle, serious injury accident, on County Route 11 in the town of Bath.

The State Police release the names of the 2 occupants killed in a tractor trailer accident on Monday, November 8^th on I-86 in Horseheads.  The operator, identified as Zegazhab Gerezgier, age 29, from Texas, and passenger, Idris Mustapha, age 40, also from Texas were killed when the tractor-trailer they were traveling in crashed on I-86 at exit 54 in the town of Horseheads.

The State Police are releasing the name of the individual killed early Saturday morning.  Christopher M. VanCleaf, age 49, was Killed, at approximately 2:15 a.m., near Tommy’s Bar in the village of Newark.

(Farmington, NY, September 19, 2022) – New York State Police in Canandaigua announce the arrest of Coty B. Calviera, 37 years old of Farmington, NY, for Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the 2^nd degree and Sexual Abuse in the 2^nd degree.  

On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, troopers from SP Wolcott responded to a larceny at Dollar General in the Village of Wolcott. 

On September 17, 2022, at approximately  2:53 p.m., State Police observed a 2006 Infiniti on SR 104 in the T/Webster with a forged dealer plate.  Troopers stopped the operator, identified as Esmeralda Martinez, age 24, of Rochester.

State Police announce the name of the individual killed on Friday, September 16th in Williamson.  Arthur Edick, age 19, was stabbed during an argument and airlifted to Strong Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

State Police release the name of the individual killed while walking on the Inner Loop yesterday at approximately 3:30 a.m.

Anthony Trayner, age 24, from Ontario, Canada was walking in the westbound lane when he was struck by a westbound vehicle, and that operator fled the scene.

State Police investigators are following leads looking for the motorist who struck Mr. Trayner.

Rogers, 34, of Cato, was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC greater than .08%, and a traffic ticket.  

On Friday, July 8, 2022, troopers from SP Lyons arrested Aaron J. Vanopdurp, 29, of Lyons, on a bench warrant for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5^th Degree, and also on an arrest warrant for Petit Larceny. 

On July 10, 2022, at approximately 3:53 p.m., the State Police in Wellsburg conducted a traffic stop of a motorist on Main Street, in the village of Wellsburg.  While interviewing the driver, Thomas J. Brennan, age 45, from Breesport, the trooper detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath

On July 9, 2022, at approximately 2:46 p.m., the State Police out of Horseheads responded to a property damage accident in the Town of Catlin.  While interviewing the driver, Scott A. McGinnis, age 37, from Horseheads, the trooper detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath.

On June 24, 2022, at approximately 3:40 p.m., State Police in Big Flats conducted a traffic stop on a motorist in the Town of Catlin. While interviewing the driver, William H. Coats, age 31, from Horseheads, it was determined the vehicle had no insurance on it.

On June 24, 2022, at approximately 1:03 a.m., State Police in Horseheads responded to a single car motor vehicle accident, in the town of Veteran.  While interviewing the driver, Joseph J. Harper, age 27, from Elmira, the trooper detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage.

State Police arrested Tylor J. Felix, age 26 from Sodus, NY for Grand Larceny 4^th degree, a class “E” felony.

The New York State Police in Montour Falls are asking for assistance in identifying a vehicle involved in a hit and run accident.

On June 24, 2022, the New York State Police arrested Kevin C. Parks III, age 23, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2^nd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th  Degree, subsequent to a traffic stop on I-490 in the City of Rochester.

On June 23, 2022, at approximately 10:26 a.m., the State Police responded to a serious accident on County Route 41 and Payne Road in the Town of Farmington.  Investigators believe a southbound van drove through a stop sign and into the path of a westbound F-350 towing a dump trailer.

On June 23, 2022, at approximately 1:34 a.m., State Police conducted a lawful traffic stop in the area of 259 East Ridge Road, city of Rochester.  Subsequent to the traffic stop, troopers located a loaded handgun under the front passenger seat, a back-pack containing 10.6 grams of fentanyl, and another loaded handgun in the vehicle.

On June 17, 2022, at approximately 10:28 p.m., the State Police responded to a 1 vehicle, fatal accident on West Port Bay Road in the town of Huron.

On June 4, 2022, the New York State Police in Canandaigua arrested Andrew E. Jensen, age 58, of Geneva, NY, for Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child 1st Degree, ( under 13 years of age), a class B Felony, and Incest 3rd Degree, a class E Felony.  

On June 3, 2022, State Police and the Elmira Police Department arrested Kendrick S. Buchanan, 27, of  Corning, NY, in numerous charges following an investigation into illegal narcotics.

On June 1, 2022, State Police - Painted Post investigated a single vehicle fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred in Erwin, NY.

On Sunday, May 29, 2022, troopers from SP Auburn observed a vehicle operating erratically on Clark Street Road in the town of Aurelius.

On May 31, 2022, the New York State Police arrested Sean N. Glenney, age 51, of Greece NY for Criminal Sexual Act 3^rd Degree.   Investigators say, Glenney is accused of having sexual contact with a 15-year-old in 2015.

SP Wolcott Troopers investigated a fatal one-vehicle accident that happened in the early morning hours of May 29, 2022.

On May 28, 2022, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the State Police responded to the Arnot Mall in Horseheads for a possible report of an active shooter. 

On May 28, 2022, at approximately 2:37 a.m., the State Police in Genseso responded to a tractor trailer vs. motorcycle fatal accident on Telephone Road and Federal Road in the town of York. 

The New York State Police in Painted Post investigated a motorcycle vs. SUV fatal accident that occurred May 26, 2022, at approximately 11:58 a.m.

The New York State Police will increase patrols to combat drunk, impaired, and reckless driving throughout Memorial Day weekend.

On May 25, 2022, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the State Police was notified by the Macedon Police Department of a social media post by a student who attends the Gananda High School.  A 17-year -old student posed with what appeared to be an assault weapon which caused concerns to district officials who immediately contacted law enforcement.

On Tuesday, May 24, 2022, troopers in Auburn responded to a motor vehicle accident on West Brutus Street Road in the town of Brutus.  Ryan C. Sheehy, 33, of Auburn, was subsequently arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and traffic tickets. 

On May 23, 2022, the State Police arrested John E. Roe for Criminal Trespass 2^nd Degree from an investigation that began in early May, of 2022.  It is alleged that Roe illegally entered a residence without permission.

State Police release the names of individuals in Monday’s serious injury accident:

Jamie Stobie, age 39, from Walworth, was seriously injured when her vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer that failed to stop for a stop sign.

The operator of the tractor-trailer, Tuychiev Otabek, age 34, from Brooklyn was treated and released at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.

On May 19, 2022, at approximately 9:12 p.m., the State Police in Big Flats responded to Wal-Mart, in the town of Horseheads, for a female who had stolen numerous items from the store.

On May 19, 2022, at approximately 5:39 a.m., the State Police in Big Flats conducted a traffic stop on a motorist for speeding on Interstate 86, in the town of Big Flats. 

On Saturday, May 21st, 2022, troopers from SP Bath identified a male walking along Lakoma Avenue in the village of Savona as Devin Twist. 

The State Police in Williamson are currently looking for Jacob Will, age 27, who was last seen on May 17, 2022, at approximately 6:30 a.m. at his residence in the town of Ontario.  

On May 20, 2022, the New York State Police stopped a motorist for a violation on East Main Street in the city of Rochester.  Troopers arrested a 17 year old, who was in possession of defaced . 380 caliber pistol loaded with 6 live rounds.

On May18, 2022, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the State Police stopped a motorist for a traffic violation in the city of Rochester.

Madison Weeks, age 15, is missing from 6228 Lake St., Cayuga, NY.  Madison was last Seen on Tuesday, May 17th, at approximately 4:00 p.m., leaving her residence to go play basketball.

On May 18, at approximately 4:20 p.m., the State Police responded to St-Rte 104 and Basket road for a SUV vs. motorcycle personal injury accident.  

On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, troopers from SP Lyons arrested Ashley J. Gallagher, 32, of Rochester, on a bench warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Possession of Cannabis 2^nd Degree, and Criminal Possession of Cannabis 3^rd Degree. 

On Wednesday, May 18, 2022, troopers from SP Williamson arrested Anthony Clarida, 34, of Rochester, on a bench warrant for failing to appear relating to his original arrest of Reckless Endangerment 2^nd Degree.

On May 14, 2022, at approximately 4:29 p.m., State Police out of Big Flats conducted a traffic stop of a motorist State Route 414, in the town of Catlin. While interviewing the driver, Travis A. Dean, age 29, from Elmira, the trooper detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from Dean, along with other signs of intoxication.  

On May 13, 2022, at approximately 12:59 p.m., State Police out of Horseheads conducted a traffic stop of a motorist on State Route 13, in the town of Veteran. 

On May 15, 2022, at approximately 8:25 p.m., the State Police in Rochester working Operation G.I.V.E observed a vehicle in violation of vehicle and traffic law.  

On May 14, 2022, at approximately 9:29p.m., the State Police responded to the Speedway Gas Station in the village of Palmyra for a reported assault.  Troopers discovered that there was an argument between Martin Hillenbrand, age 32, and a 17 year old male, about Hillenbrand leaving 2 young children, ages 3 and 10 months, unattended in his vehicle.

On April 24, 2022, at approximately 5:00 p.m., State Police out of Horseheads responded to Wal-Mart in the town of Horseheads for report of a larceny.

On April 16, 2022, at approximately 9:30 p.m., State Police out of Horseheads responded to Wal-Mart in the town of Horseheads for a female stealing items.

On Saturday, April 16, 2022, troopers from SP Painted Post observed a vehicle with a headlight out on Main street in the town of Campbell.

The State Police in Bath are warning people of a (SCAM) involving gift cards.  Investigators have been contacted by residents in Bath that they were a victim to such a scam.

On Sunday, April 10, 2022, troopers from SP Auburn responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Route 90 in the town of Montezuma.  

On Sunday, April 10, 2022, troopers from SP Auburn observed a driver using a cell phone on State Route 90 in the town of Genoa. 

On April 6, 2022, at approximately 8:08 p.m., State Police in Big Flats conducted a traffic stop on Warner Street in the town of Van Etten.

On April 6, 2022, at approximately 9:47a.m., State Police out of Horseheads conducted a traffic stop of a motorist for speeding on Interstate 86, in the town of Big Flats.

On April 8, 2022, members of Troop E VGNET, and State Police uniform members conducted a narcotic investigation at 7558 Moss Road, Howard, N.Y.  The State Police, Special Operations Response Team, made entry at the residence without incident.    

On Thursday, April 7, 2022, troopers from SP Auburn responded to a hit and run accident on State Route 326 and Route 90 in the town of Springport.   

On Sunday, April 3, 2022, troopers from SP Painted Post were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle complaint at the Dandy Mini Mart in the town of Erwin. 

On Saturday, April 2, 2022, Troopers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on River Road in the town of Lindley.  The operator of the vehicle was identified as Stephen Speciale, age 48, and had an active bench warrant from for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree. 

Speciale was issued multiple vehicle and traffic citations and transported to Steuben County Jail for arraignment.

On Friday, April 1, 2022, troopers were dispatched to Walmart in the town of Erwin for a larceny in progress. Patrols arrived on scene and the individual suspected of the larceny was identified as Lori Fazzary, age 54, of Rock Stream.

On Sunday, April 3, 2022, troopers from SP Auburn observed a vehicle with a brake lamp out on State Route 5 in the town of Aurelius.  .

On Friday, April 1, 2022, troopers from SP Auburn responded to a traffic complaint on State Street Road in the town of Throop. 

On Friday, April 1, 2022, troopers from SP Waterloo observed a suspicious vehicle on State Route 96A in the town of Romulus.  

On Friday, April 1, 2022, troopers were dispatched to Walmart in the town of Erwin for a larceny in progress.  When troopers arrived on scene an individual identified as Lori Fazzary, age 54 was alleged to have stolen merchandise.

On Friday, March 25, 2022, troopers from SP Lyons observed a suspicious vehicle on Geneva Street in the town of Lyons.  

On Friday, March 25, 2022, troopers from SP Lyons arrested Cayne J. Hartman, age 23, of Sodus, on two separate bench warrants for Escape-3^rd Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5^th Degree, and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle 2^nd Degree.

On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, troopers from SP Wolcott observed a vehicle speeding on State Route 31 in the town of Savannah. 

On April 2, 2022, at approximately 3:10 a.m. State Police conducted a traffic stop of a motorist on State Route 104 in the city of Rochester for Speeding 83mph in 55mph speed zone. The operator, later identified as Shawn Davis, age 43, of Rochester was subsequently found to illegally be in possession of a loaded .22 caliber revolver with 5 rounds of ammunition. Davis was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2^nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3^rd Degree, Driving While Intoxicated and Speeding. 

The passenger in the vehicle, Shay Pearson, age 41, of Rochester was subsequently found to illegally possess a loaded .380 caliber semi-automatic pistol with 6 rounds of ammunition. Pearson was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2^nd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3^rd Degree. 

Davis and Pearson were transported to the Monroe County Jail for arraignment.

On Friday, April 1, 2022, at about a 8:15 a.m., New York State Troopers and Ontario County Sheriff Deputies initiated a pursuit of a small U-Haul box truck on the New York State Thruway.
