Ghent, New York – On September 18, 2023, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks in conjunction with the Columbia County Child Advocacy Center arrested Robert G. Schaefer, age 52, of Ghent.

Lagrange, New York – On September 15, 2023, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks began investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash on State Route 55 in the town Lagrange.

Mount Vernon, New York – On September 7, 2023, the New York State Police arrested Richard T. Bailey, age 32, of Yonkers, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3^rd degree with intent to sell, a class B felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4^th degree, a class C felony.

Patterson, New York – On September 10, 2023, the New York State Police responded to a fatal domestic incident on River Road in the town of Patterson.

Kent, New York – On September 6, 2023, the New York State Police responded to a wrong way driver on westbound Interstate 84 east of Ludingtonville Road in the town of Kent.

Dover, New York – On September 4, 2023, the New York State Police from the Dover Plains barracks began investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash on State Route 22 in the town of Dover near Kitchen Corners Road.

East Fishkill, New York – On September 1, 2023, the New York State Police, East Fishkill Police, and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Joseph Gourd, age 41, of Oneonta, NY, for Attempted Murder of a Police Officer.

Fishkill, New York – On August 31, 2023, the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Efrain Negron, age 28, of Fishkill, NY, for four counts of Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony.

Red Hook, New York - On August 24, 2023, the New York State Police arrested Nathan Holmes, age 32, of Gallatin, NY, for two counts of Forcible Touching, a class A misdemeanor. 

Troopers in Somers are searching for Noam M. Cohen, age 18, of Cross River, NY, reported missing by his family. 

State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) Somers are investigating are a murder/suicide in the town of Somers.

New Lebanon, New York – On July 23, 2023, the New York State Police from the New Lebanon barracks arrested a sixteen-year-old for four counts of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated Leandra’s Law, a class E felony.

Gallatin, New York – On July 1, 2023, the New York State Police began investigating a fatal utility terrain vehicle (UTV) on Crock Road in Gallatin.

The New York State Police today announced that it issued a total of 12,991 tickets statewide during the 4^th of July STOP-DWI enforcement campaign.

New Rochelle, New York - On July 3, 2023, at approximatel 4:29 p.m., the New Rochelle Police Department responded to a local grocery store for a larceny complaint resulting in an officer involved shooting.

Livingston, New York – On June 29, 2023, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks began investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash involving a house.

Somers, New York- On June 28, 2023, the New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested Raymond L. Laudo, age 66, of Bronx, New York, for Burglary in the 1st degree, a class B felony, Assault in the 2nd degree, Strangulation in the 2nd degree, both class D felonies, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th degree, and Menacing in the 2nd degree, both class A misdemeanors.

Lagrange, New York - On June 26, 2023, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Robert R. Dichiara, age 65, of Lagrange, for Grand Larceny in the 3^rd degree, a class D felony, and Scheme to Defraud in the 1^st degree, a class E felony.

Pleasant Valley, New York – On June 17, 2023, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Daimion Lowe, age 26, of Pleasant Valley, for Attempted Robbery in the third degree, a class E felony.

Hyde Park, New York – On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation at SP Rhinebeck, with the assistance of the Troop K Computer Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit, arrested Ross E. Schultz, age 20, of Staatsburg, New York, for Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child – a class E felony.

Greenburgh, New York – On Tuesday morning, June 13, 2023, troopers from SP Hawthorne arrested Richard Zimmer, age 30, of Valhalla, New York, for Menacing in the 2nd Degree – a class A misdemeanor.

State Police arrest Greenport woman for Grand Larceny, Forgery and Scheme to Defraud 

The New York State Police will increase patrols to combat drunk, impaired, and reckless driving throughout Memorial Day weekend.

On April 17^th, 2023, the New York State Police from the Hawthorne Barracks arrested Kelvin Garcia Liriano, 27, of New Rochelle, New York, for three counts of Grand Larceny 2^nd Degree, class “C” felonies.  

On May 15, 2023, SP Cortlandt BCI arrested Pablo Rivera, 49, of Franklin Square, NY, for two counts of forcible touching.

State Police form the Wappingers barracks arrested a woman from the town of Wappingers on drug and assault charges following a domestic incident and vehicle pursuit.

On Monday, April 24, 2023, State Police members from SP Poughkeepsie arrested Rodney W. Lewis, age 69, of Pleasant Valley, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2^nd Degree – a class C felony.

On April 15, 2023, at around 1:43 a.m., State Police were called to I-84 in the town of Southeast for a report of a one-vehicle accident.

On April 14, 2023, at around 7:11 p.m., State Police were called to the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Yorktown for a report of a male traveling northbound with a possible firearm.

On April 8, 2023, State Police arrested Matthew Charpentier, 33, of Hillsdale for Assault 3rd degree.

On April 12, 2023, at around 3:07 p.m., State Police were called to Route 312 in the town of Southeast for a report of a transit van carrying five passengers, off the road in a ditch.

Southeast, New York – On April 9, 2023, the New York State Police responded to a residence on Ridgebury Road in the town of Southeast for a domestic dispute between a stepfather and stepson. 

On April 8, 2023, State Police arrested Amberlyn R. Leonard, 22, of Croton Falls, for DWI and other vehicle and traffic violations.

On April 6, 2023, at around 10:17 p.m., State Police were called to State Route 9G in the town of Germantown for a report of a one-car fatal accident.

The New York State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals responsible for the illegal dumping of backfill debris along I-95 and I-287 in the City of Rye, New York.

Austerlitz, New York – On March 18, 2023, the New York State Police arrested William G. Culley, age 57, of Chatham, NY, for the Unauthorized Practice of a Profession, a class E felony.

Putnam Valley, New York – On March 11, 2023, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Robert J. Kristoferson, age 29, of Mohegan Lake, NY, for Grand Larceny in the 3^rd degree, a class D felony.

Wappinger Falls, New York – On March 15, 2023, the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Marc H. Santoro, age 54, of Wappinger Falls, for Sexual Abuse in the 1^st degree, a class D felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor.

Cortlandt, New York – March 14, 2023, the New York State Police in Cortlandt are attempting to identify the pictured individual concerning a larceny from Walmart on East Main Street.

Peekskill, New York - On February 16, 2023, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt Barracks arrested Lee Anthony McLeod, age 40, of Peekskill, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4^th degree, a class C felony, and Reckless Endangerment in the 1^st degree, a class D felony, and Dashe Leach, age 34, also of Peekskill, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7^th degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Clermont, New York – On February 17, 2023, the New York State Police responded to an address in the town of Clermont for a missing vulnerable adult.

Southeast, New York – On February 10, 2023, the New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Kenneth Rios, age 26, of Danbury, CT, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3^rd degree, a class B felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4^th degree, a class C felony.

Livingston, New York – On February 10, 2023, the New York State Police began investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash on State Route 9 in the town of Livingston.

Cortlandt, New York – On February 12, 2023, the New York State Police in Cortlandt responded to the Bear Mountain Bridge

The New York State Police will crack down on impaired and reckless driving during Super Bowl weekend. The special STOP-DWI enforcement campaign, funded by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, will include increased patrols and sobriety checkpoints to deter, identify, and arrest impaired drivers, as well as underage drinker enforcement. The enforcement initiative runs from Friday, February 10, 2023, through Monday, February 13, 2023.

State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer that occurred on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at about 10:20 a.m., on I-287 (Cross Westchester Expressway) in the town of Harrison, Westchester County.
