State Police arrest Greenport woman for Grand Larceny, Forgery and Scheme to Defraud 

The New York State Police will increase patrols to combat drunk, impaired, and reckless driving throughout Memorial Day weekend.

On April 17^th, 2023, the New York State Police from the Hawthorne Barracks arrested Kelvin Garcia Liriano, 27, of New Rochelle, New York, for three counts of Grand Larceny 2^nd Degree, class “C” felonies.  

On May 15, 2023, SP Cortlandt BCI arrested Pablo Rivera, 49, of Franklin Square, NY, for two counts of forcible touching.

State Police form the Wappingers barracks arrested a woman from the town of Wappingers on drug and assault charges following a domestic incident and vehicle pursuit.

On Monday, April 24, 2023, State Police members from SP Poughkeepsie arrested Rodney W. Lewis, age 69, of Pleasant Valley, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2^nd Degree – a class C felony.

On April 15, 2023, at around 1:43 a.m., State Police were called to I-84 in the town of Southeast for a report of a one-vehicle accident.

On April 14, 2023, at around 7:11 p.m., State Police were called to the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Yorktown for a report of a male traveling northbound with a possible firearm.

On April 8, 2023, State Police arrested Matthew Charpentier, 33, of Hillsdale for Assault 3rd degree.

On April 12, 2023, at around 3:07 p.m., State Police were called to Route 312 in the town of Southeast for a report of a transit van carrying five passengers, off the road in a ditch.

Southeast, New York – On April 9, 2023, the New York State Police responded to a residence on Ridgebury Road in the town of Southeast for a domestic dispute between a stepfather and stepson. 

On April 8, 2023, State Police arrested Amberlyn R. Leonard, 22, of Croton Falls, for DWI and other vehicle and traffic violations.

On April 6, 2023, at around 10:17 p.m., State Police were called to State Route 9G in the town of Germantown for a report of a one-car fatal accident.

The New York State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals responsible for the illegal dumping of backfill debris along I-95 and I-287 in the City of Rye, New York.

Salt Point, New York - On March 30, 2023, the New York State Police are hosting a free child car seat check event at Troop K Headquarters located at 2541 Route 44 Salt Point, NY, 12578 between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Austerlitz, New York – On March 18, 2023, the New York State Police arrested William G. Culley, age 57, of Chatham, NY, for the Unauthorized Practice of a Profession, a class E felony.

Putnam Valley, New York – On March 11, 2023, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Robert J. Kristoferson, age 29, of Mohegan Lake, NY, for Grand Larceny in the 3^rd degree, a class D felony.

Wappinger Falls, New York – On March 15, 2023, the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Marc H. Santoro, age 54, of Wappinger Falls, for Sexual Abuse in the 1^st degree, a class D felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor.

Cortlandt, New York – March 14, 2023, the New York State Police in Cortlandt are attempting to identify the pictured individual concerning a larceny from Walmart on East Main Street.

The State Police today announced that they will step up speed enforcement efforts along the New York portion of U.S. Highway 20 on March 14, 2023. 

Peekskill, New York - On February 16, 2023, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt Barracks arrested Lee Anthony McLeod, age 40, of Peekskill, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4^th degree, a class C felony, and Reckless Endangerment in the 1^st degree, a class D felony, and Dashe Leach, age 34, also of Peekskill, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7^th degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Bedford, New York – On March 1, 2023, the New York State Police in conjunction with the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (NYS DOCCS), and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office arrested Michael Adeleke, age 54, of Waterbury, CT, for Rape in the 3^rd degree, a class E felony.

Clermont, New York – On February 17, 2023, the New York State Police responded to an address in the town of Clermont for a missing vulnerable adult.

Southeast, New York – On February 10, 2023, the New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Kenneth Rios, age 26, of Danbury, CT, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3^rd degree, a class B felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4^th degree, a class C felony.

Livingston, New York – On February 10, 2023, the New York State Police began investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash on State Route 9 in the town of Livingston.

Cortlandt, New York – On February 12, 2023, the New York State Police in Cortlandt responded to the Bear Mountain Bridge

The New York State Police will crack down on impaired and reckless driving during Super Bowl weekend. The special STOP-DWI enforcement campaign, funded by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, will include increased patrols and sobriety checkpoints to deter, identify, and arrest impaired drivers, as well as underage drinker enforcement. The enforcement initiative runs from Friday, February 10, 2023, through Monday, February 13, 2023.

State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer that occurred on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at about 10:20 a.m., on I-287 (Cross Westchester Expressway) in the town of Harrison, Westchester County.

Cortlandt, New York – January 18, 2023, the New York State Police are seeking the public’s assistance identifying two subjects regarding a stolen wallet from Walmart on East Main Street in the Mohegan Lake area of Cortlandt.

Fishkill, New York - Since March 20, 1980, the New York State Police have investigated the discovery of a victim left headless and handless in a travel trunk near a dumpster on the grounds of the Hudson View Apartment Complex in Fishkill, NY.  Technological and forensic limitations of the time prevented positive identification of the victim.

North Salem, New York – The State Police in Troop K would like to offer a special thank you to both the Community-Police Relations Foundation and the Friends of Karen organization in North Salem for including us in their fundraiser to help local children in need.

Clinton, New York – August 2, 2022, the State Police in Troop K are once again reminding members of the community to secure their vehicles and property.  Three vehicles were stolen in the town of Clinton and two vehicles stolen in the town of Rhinebeck this past weekend.  Additionally in Rhinebeck over 15 vehicle break-ins were reported to the State Police.

Cortlandt, New York – The State Police in Cortlandt are investigating the theft of over $3,244 worth of merchandise from Walmart located at 3133 East Main Street Mohegan Lake, NY 10547, at approximately 2:00 p.m. on July 16, 2022.

On July 31, 2022, at approximately 10:50 a.m., State Police were called to the intersection of County Route 7A and Tamarac Road in the town of Copake for a report of car versus motorcycle accident.

Kent, New York - On July 2, 2022, the New York State Police began investigating a fatal collision on Interstate 84 westbound near mile marker 59.5 in the town of Kent.
