Peekskill, New York - On February 16, 2023, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt Barracks arrested Lee Anthony McLeod, age 40, of Peekskill, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree, a class C felony, and Reckless Endangerment in the 1st degree, a class D felony, and Dashe Leach, age 34, also of Peekskill, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Bedford, New York – On March 1, 2023, the New York State Police in conjunction with the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (NYS DOCCS), and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office arrested Michael Adeleke, age 54, of Waterbury, CT, for Rape in the 3rd degree, a class E felony.
Copake, New York – On February 22, 2023, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Steven S. Kipp, age 22, of Copake.
Clermont, New York – On February 17, 2023, the New York State Police responded to an address in the town of Clermont for a missing vulnerable adult.
Southeast, New York – On February 10, 2023, the New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Kenneth Rios, age 26, of Danbury, CT, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a class B felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree, a class C felony.
Livingston, New York – On February 10, 2023, the New York State Police began investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash on State Route 9 in the town of Livingston.
Cortlandt, New York – On February 12, 2023, the New York State Police in Cortlandt responded to the Bear Mountain Bridge
The New York State Police will crack down on impaired and reckless driving during Super Bowl weekend. The special STOP-DWI enforcement campaign, funded by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, will include increased patrols and sobriety checkpoints to deter, identify, and arrest impaired drivers, as well as underage drinker enforcement. The enforcement initiative runs from Friday, February 10, 2023, through Monday, February 13, 2023.
