New York State police today announced that they will be stepping up patrols and targeting drug-impaired driving during an enforcement and prevention campaign on April 20.

A Kansas man was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2^nd Degree following a traffic stop.

On March 23, 2023, at about 10:45 p.m., Troopers responded to the New York State Thruway southbound in Greenburgh, Westchester County, for a reported motor vehicle crash involving a wrong-way driver.

The New York State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals responsible for the illegal dumping of backfill debris along I-95 and I-287 in the City of Rye, New York.

On March 22, 2023, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Ervin B. Stubbs, 34 of Ocala, FL for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2^nd (C Felony) and Fugitive from Justice out of Pennsylvania State Police.

Extreme winds, white out conditions and dangerously cold temperatures on Friday, December 23, and Saturday, December 24, will make travel conditions highly dangerous. State Police advise motorists to drive only for emergency purposes. If you are on the roadways make sure you have a full tank of gas, food and extra warming items in your vehicle in case emergency vehicles have a delayed response due to the extreme storm conditions. Use your best judgment to determine if driving is prudent. 

State Police would like to remind motorists to use caution while traveling on the New York State Thruway during the afternoon commute of December 15, 2022 into the afternoon hours of Saturday, December 17, 2022.

**UPDATE: Names Released** State Police investigate van crash on the NYS Thruway in Greene County

On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at about 9:30 p.m., State Police responded to reports of a large passenger van that crashed on the NYS Thruway (I-87) southbound, south of Exit 21B in the town of Athens, Greene County.

On August 21, 2022 at 5:50 P.M., Troopers out of SP Buffalo responded to I-90 west bound lane at the Slusser Road overpass in the town of Pembroke.  Investigation determined that a 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 pulling a trailer was traveling west bound on the I-90.
