PRESS RELEASE
 
On March 9th, 2021, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Paulamari Cruz Rivera, 20, of Jamestown, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs – Leandra’s Law.
 
Cruz Rivera was pulled over on Route 60 in Jamestown for a traffic violation and after failing several SFSTs, Cruz Rivera was placed under arrest. The child in the vehicle was turned over to a third party and Cruz Rivera was transported to UPMC Hospital in Jamestown where a blood sample was secured. Cruz Rivera was then transported to SP Jamestown where she was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of cannabis. Cruz Rivera was issued tickets and released. Cruz Rivera is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellicott Court later in the month.
