Little Valley man arrested for DWAI-drugs in Salamanca

On November 5, 2019, SP Olean Troopers arrested James Garcia III, 18, of Little Valley, NY for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana 1st Degree, and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

During a traffic stop on State Route 417 in the city of Salamanca, Garcia was exhibiting obvious signs of impairment. Troopers determined he had been operating a motor vehicle in an impaired condition. He subsequently failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. He was also found to be in possession of Buprenorphine tablets for which he did not have a valid prescription and marijuana.

Garcia was arrested and released with appearance tickets for Salamanca City Court, where he is due to appear later this month.
