On May 14th, 2020, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested James Johnson, 50, of Jamestown, for Forgery 2nd Degree, Offering a False Instrument for Filing 2nd Degree and False Personation and Kenneth Drake, 42, of Ashville, for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree.
The Troopers responded to Hartson Road in Falconer for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. Johnson initially provided the Troopers with the identity of a deceased individual and signed the deceased’s name to a statement identifying the driver (Drake) of the disabled vehicle. Upon properly identifying Johnson, he was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed. Johnson issued appearance tickets for the town of Poland Court and turned over to the Lakewood/Busti Police Department for two outstanding warrants. Drake was issued tickets for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, Using Vehicle without an Interlock Device and Failure to Keep Right. Drake is scheduled to appear in the town of Poland Court next month.
