Local pair arrested for Machias break-in
On February 6, 2021, SP Machias Troopers arrested Dustin J. Dashnaw, 40, of Yorkshire, NY for Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree, and Cassadi L. Tillinghast, 38, no known address, for False Personation.
Troopers investigating a trespass complaint at a vacant residence on State Route 16 in the town of Machias determined Dashnaw had illegally entered the premises. During the investigation, Tillinghast repeatedly provided Troopers with a false name and date of birth. Both parties were also found to have outstanding warrants in the town of Yorkshire.
Both were arrested and arraigned in Yorkshire Town Court, where they were released on their own recognizances. They are due to return to that court on their warrants in March. They are due to appear in Machias Town Court on the new charges in March.
