Lockport man arrested for DWAI Drugs

On March 15, 2023 at 4:47 pm, Troopers out of SP Lockport arrested Delman Cortes Jr, 49 of Lockport NY for Driving while Ability Impaired Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Control Substance 5^th, Criminal Possession of a Control Substance 7^th , Harassment 2^nd, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction Governmental Administration and other vehicle traffic violations.

 
On March 15, 2023, Troopers stopped Cortes on South Transit Road in the city of Lockport for multiple traffic infractions. While interviewing Cortes, he exhibited indicators of drug impairment. While placing Cortes into custody, he resisted arrest and was immediately placed into custody after failing multiple SFSTs. Additionally, Cortes was found to be in possession of narcotics. Cortes was transported to SP Lockport for processing.

 

Cortes was transported to the Niagara County Jail for centralized arraignment.
