PRESS RELEASE

On March 14, 2021 New York State Police at Sidney arrested Savannaha M. Odum, age 33 of New Lisbon, NY for the felonies Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree (Intent to Sell) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fifth degree.  She was also charged with the misdemeanor Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree.

A trooper was originally dispatched to a report of a coin purse that was found in the parking lot of the Speedway gas station in Unadilla.  The trooper found that there were illegal drugs inside the purse.  Through an investigation, the trooper was able to identify the person who dropped the coin purse and the type of vehicle that she was driving.

The trooper later located the vehicle on State Route 7 in the town of Unadilla.  An investigation revealed that Odum was in fact the owner of the coin purse and the items inside it.  Troopers also found Odum to be in possession of illegal drugs including suspected cocaine and suspected heroin.

She was transported to SP Sidney where she was processed and released on appearance tickets to the town of Unadilla court on April 12, 2021.
