On January 10, 2021, State Police arrested 50-year-old James E. Kelley of Louisville, for one count of Providing a False Written Statement and one count of Falsely Reporting an Incident 3rd degree, following an investigation into a report of a stolen vehicle.  On November 23, 2020, Kelley reported his car had been stolen from his driveway on State Route 37B in the town of Louisville.  An investigation revealed his vehicle had been involved in a motor vehicle accident on November 19, 2020, and the driver of the vehicle at the time of the accident revealed she had permission from Kelley to use the vehicle. Kelley later admitted his vehicle was never stolen and he falsely reported the theft. Kelley was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Louisville Court.
