PRESS RELEASE

On December 18, 2022, Troopers arrested Christopher A. Stickles, age 36, of Malone, NY for endangering the welfare of a child, menacing 2nd, criminal contempt 1st, and criminal possession of a weapon 3rd.

On December 18, 2022, around 1:16 p.m., Troopers responded to Springflower Drive for a report of an order of protection violation. An investigation determined the victim along with three passengers were in a vehicle in the Gateway Motel parking lot dropping a friend off.  Stickles came out of his apartment with a baseball bat in his hand and started walking towards the victim’s car. He was yelling and swinging the bat in a threatening manner.  Stickles and the victim have a refrain from order of protection in place, protecting the victim from Stickles.  Once the victim notices Stickles continuing to come towards the vehicle the victim drove away to notify law enforcement.
Stickles was arrested and transported to SP Malone for processing.  He was arraigned in the Town of Malone Court and released on his own recognizances.
