On August 12, 2020, State Police arrested 26-year-old Khye J. Charleston, of Waverly, and 29-year-old Alyssa M. LaFlesh of Bombay, following an investigation of a larceny of a riding lawn mower that was stolen from a garage in the town of Moira. LaFlesh also stole a check from the victim, forged a signature, and cashed it, in the amount of $140. Both LaFlesh and Charleston were arrested for Grand Larceny 4th degree. LaFlesh was additionally charged with Forgery 3rd degree. At the time of her arrest LaFlesh was found in possession of smoking devices containing crack-cocaine. She was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. Charleston was also found in possession of a quantity of suboxone strips. He was further charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. LaFlesh and Charleston were released with appearance tickets for the Malone Town Court, Moira Town Court and Hopkinton Town Court.
