State Police arrested Zolan R. Wetzel, 19 of Texas, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree (a class D felony).


On December 1, 2020 State Police assisted Schoharie County Sheriffs who stopped Wetzel after he fled a domestic incident that occurred in Schoharie County.  On the stop Wetzel was found to be driving a pickup truck that had been stolen from the town of New Scotland in Albany County.


Wetzel was placed in custody by Schoharie County Sheriffs for charges related to their case.  On December 4, 2020, State Police charged Wetzel with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree (a class D felony).  He was arraigned in the town of Rensselaerville Court and returned to Schoharie County Jail where he is awaiting court proceedings for his charges in Schoharie County.
