On May 11, 2023, Troopers out of SP Boston arrested Michael A Calcaterra Jr, 32 from Chaffee, NY for driving under the influence of drugs (felony) prior conviction, criminal possession of a controlled substance, controlled substance not in original container, failed to signal, moved from lane unsafely and vehicle not inspected.
On May 11, 2023, Troopers responded to the area of SR 219 town of Boston to be observant for a vehicle all over the roadway. Troopers observed the said vehicle turning onto Boston State Rd without signaling. Troopers confirmed NY plate matching vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Calcaterra was placed under arrest after failing SFST’S. Troopers located a plastic bottle inside the vehicle with several different pills. Calcaterra was transported to SP Boston where an evaluation was conducted by a Drug Recognition Expert. Calcaterra submitted to a chemical test for alcohol. Calcaterra recorded 0.00% BAC. Calcaterra was transported to Mercy Ambulatory Care Center and submitted to a blood draw.
Calcaterra was issued traffic tickets returnable to the town of Boston court for May 22, 2023.
