PRESS RELEASE
Harrison, NY – On September 7, 2020, at approximately 1:45 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-95 in the town of Harrison for a vehicle and traffic violation. While interviewing the occupants, probable cause to search the vehicle was established. When instructed to exit the vehicle, the driver, Jammy Alphonse, 26, of Everett, MA, started the vehicle and pulled away, failing to comply.
Alphonse eventually pulled over 6 miles later and was taken into custody. He was transported and processed at SP New Rochelle without further incident and was charged with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree, Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, and Resisting Arrest; all Class A Misdemeanors.
Alphonse was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Harrison Court on September 29, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
