On March 14, 2020, State Police in Latham arrested 25-year-old Kenneth C. Jackson of Menands, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (E felony), Driving While Intoxicated- Previous Conviction (E felony), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree (E felony), Use of a Motor Vehicle Without an Interlock (A misdemeanor), Fleeing from an Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd degree (A misdemeanor), Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd degree (A misdemeanor), and Resisting Arrest (A misdemeanor).

Shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, State Police attempted to stop Jackson’s vehicle after he was observed speeding on Northern Boulevard in the City of Albany. Jackson failed to comply with attempts to stop his vehicle and a vehicle pursuit was initiated.

As Jackson fled from patrols he crashed through a fence and into a parking lot where he struck a vehicle. He continued to flee, but after striking a curb, his vehicle was rendered inoperable. Jackson exited the vehicle and fled on foot. When troopers caught up to him he resisted being taken into custody, but was ultimately secured.

Jackson was transported to SP Latham where he was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and provided a breath sample of .18% B.A.C. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Menands Village Court on March 24, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.
