On September 11, 2021, the New York State Police in Cobleskill arrested 28-year-old Robert E. Diamond of Middleburgh, for Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree, a class D felony.

Diamond was stopped for a traffic infraction as he traveled down State Route 145 in Middleburgh on Saturday afternoon. A check of his vehicle’s inspection sticker revealed a discrepancy between the expiration date on file with DMV and the expiration date displayed by the inspection sticker on his vehicle. Further investigation determined that the inspection sticker was a forgery.

Diamond was taken into custody and transported to SP Cobleskill for processing. He was arraigned in Middleburgh Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court on October 13, 2021.
