Missing Cambridge woman found deceased in Schaghticoke

On August 3, 2022, Rensselaer County Sheriff’s office located the vehicle of 58-year-old Lisa Deangelis on County Route 114 in Schaghticoke, NY.   Deangelis had been reported missing on July 29, 2022, by her family when she failed to return home.  A search by State Police K9 located human remains a short distance from the vehicle in a wooded area.  On August 5, 2022, those remains were definitively identified as Deangelis. 

The investigation into her death is ongoing, but State Police do not believe that it is suspicious, nor that there is any associated threat to the public.
