Moreau man charged with stealing $18,000 worth of labor and equipment from Wilton business

On March 30, 2021, State Police in Wilton arrested 46-year-old Leroy F. Buttles of Moreau, for Grand Larceny 3^rd degree, a class D felony.

Buttles is accused of stealing over $18,000 worth of labor and equipment from his employer, VJP Enterprise in Wilton. Investigation revealed that Buttles was completing work for customers using his employer’s equipment and parts and taking direct payment for the services.

Buttles was processed at SP Wilton and issued an appearance ticket. He is due in Wilton Town Court on April 13, 2021.
