On November 8, 2020, State Police arrested 38-year-old Amanda M. Taylor of Moriah, after she used the victim’s debit card, to make ATM withdrawals totaling $822.00 in the town of Plattsburgh. The purchases occurred in early September 2020, while Taylor was hired to care for the victim in his home in Plattsburgh. She was never given permission to use the victim’s debit card. The victim realized and reported the theft on October 14, 2020. Taylor was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, and Identity Theft 2nd degree, both are class E felonies. She was released with appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Plattsburgh Court.
