Multiple people charged with cocaine possession during Halfmoon traffic stop

On January 9, 2021, State Police in Clifton Park arrested 22-year-old Matthew J. Crisafulli of Halfmoon, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5^th degree (D felony) and Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor). The following subjects were also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5^th degree: Frankie T. Lazorischak, 22, of Halfmoon; Vikram J. Mangat, 23, of Watervliet; Kent R. Mohlar, 22, of Clifton Park; and an 18-year-old.

At approximately 11:13 p.m. on Saturaday, State Police stopped Crisafulli for a traffic offense on Guideboard Road in Halfmoon. Upon interviewing him, the Trooper could smell the odor of alcohol and observed signs of impairment. Crisafulli was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Test and taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Further investigation revealed approximately 2.9 grams of cocaine secreted in the rear storage compartment of the driver seat. All occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and transported to SP Clifton Park for processing.

Cristafulli provided a breath sample of .15% B.A.C. All parties were processed and released on an appearance ticket for Halfmoon Town Court January 13, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.
