State Police in Schodack have arrested 26-year-old Andrew T. Lavergne of Nassau, for Falsely Reporting an Incident 3rd degree and Making a False Statement.
On July 25, 2019, Troopers responded to a residence in the town of Schodack after it was reported by the resident, Adam Lavergne, that a burglary had occurred. When a patrol arrived, Lavergne told them that someone had unplugged his security camera, entered his apartment and had stolen $1,100.00 from his safe. During the investigation police uncovered multiple inconsistencies in the information provided by Lavergne. It was subsequently discovered that Lavergne had made up the burglary to avoid having to account for the missing money. Lavergne was charged and processed at SP Schodack.
Lavergne was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Nassau Town Court on August 7, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
