On April 29, 2020, at approximately 8:54 p.m., State Police responded to a residence on State Route 9 in the town of Schroon for a report of a neighbor dispute. An investigation revealed that 44-year-old Christina L. Collins of Schroon menaced and threatened her neighbors with a baseball bat. Collins swung the bat toward the victims trying to hit them. She struck a door belonging to the victims, causing damages. One of the victims and Collins then engaged in an altercation which left Collins with minor injuries on her knees and legs.  She declined medical attention.

Collins was arrested and charged with two counts of Menacing 2nd degree, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, and one count of Criminal Mischief 4th degree.  Collins was remanded to Essex County Jail pending arraignment.
