NYSP responds to fatal crash in Greene

On November 1, 2022, at approximately 4:19 p.m., New York State Police at Sidney were dispatched by Chenango County 911 to a report of a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 12 in the town of Greene. 

A preliminary investigation at the scene revealed that Maryann R. Zupo, age 42 of Greene, NY was traveling south on State Highway 12 in the town of Greene and crossed into the path of another vehicle that was traveling north.  Zupo was extricated by members of Greene EMS and life saving measures were unsuccessful.  Zupo was pronounced deceased on scene. 

The driver of the other vehicle, Shelby M. Rose, age 22 of Norwich, NY suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Wilson Medical Center for further medical care.
