Deceased: Amina Estrada, age 3, Rome, NY

Driver: Amber V. Brown, age 28 of Rome, NY

Edgardo T. Estrada, age 42 of Rome, NY

Malika Estrada, age 3 months of Rome, NY

Lareina P. Estrada, age 1 of Rome, NY

Naazir Estrada, age 3 of Rome, NY

On November 2, 2022, at approximately 8:54 p.m., members of the New York State Police responded to a report of a serious one-vehicle crash on Frost Hill Road in the town of Plainfield.   

A preliminary investigation at the scene revealed that the vehicle, a 2004 Ford Expedition went off the roadway, struck an embankment and partially overturned. 

A three-year-old female sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene

Two adults and four children were transported to Saint Elizabeth Hospital for further medical care.  They are at this time being identified as the driver of the vehicle - a 28-year-old female, a 42-year-old male, a 3-month-old female, a one-year-old female, a three-year-old male and a six-year-old male.  All of the occupants of the vehicle are from Rome, NY. 

The crash remains under investigation. 

New York State Police, the Criminal Bureau of Investigation, the Collision Reconstruction Unit, Bridgewater Ambulance, Otsego County Ambulance, West Winfield Ambulance and EMS, Edmeston Ambulance, Unadilla Forks Fire Department and Emergency Squad, Edwards Ambulance, West Edmeston Fire Department, West Winfield Fire Department and the Otsego County Coroner all responded to the scene.
