New York State Police are appealing to the public to help locate the driver of a tractor trailer that sideswiped a troop car in Broome County Tuesday night.

On November 17, 2020 at approximately 6:46 p.m., a trooper was assisting Broome County Sheriff’s with a traffic crash on Interstate 81 northbound near milepost 34.5 in the town of Lisle.  The marked State Police vehicle was on the right side of the road with all of its emergency lights activated when it was sideswiped by a tractor trailer that was traveling north in the right lane.  The tractor trailer continued traveling north without stopping.  The trooper was not inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.

There is no description of the tractor trailer, but it would have extensive damage to the passenger side.

Anyone that has any information contact New York State Police at Binghamton at (607)775-1241.
