Olean man arrested for aggravated DWI at triple the legal limit in Hinsdale

On December 22, 2019, SP Olean Troopers arrested David E. Lussier, 36, of Olean, NY for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated – BAC Over 0.18% and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle 2nd Degree.

During a traffic stop on State Route 16 in the town of Hinsdale, Troopers determined Lussier had been operating a vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Lussier was then arrested and transported to SP Olean, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.24% BAC. Troopers also discovered Lussier to be a fugitive from justice on a warrant for DWI issued in McKean County, PA.

Lussier was issued appearance tickets for Hinsdale Town Court, where he is due to appear in January. He was subsequently arraigned in Allegany Town Court on the Fugitive From Justice charge and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail awaiting extradition.
