Olean pair arrested for area thefts
On December 12, 2020, SP Olean Troopers arrested Donald J. Johnson, 32, and Kari L. Jolin, 37, both of Olean, NY, each for Auto Stripping 1st Degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Degree, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree.
Troopers investigating a complaint of auto parts being stripped from vehicles at a business on State Route 16 in the town of Olean determined Johnson and Jolin had stolen the parts. During the course of their investigation, Troopers also discovered the pair was in possession of stolen property in the town of Ischua related to incidents which had occurred in the towns of Olean and Friendship. Both were also found to be wanted on warrants in several jurisdictions.
Both Johnson and Jolin were arrested and arraigned in Olean Town Court. Johnson was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail, while Jolin was released on her own recognizance. Both are due to appear in the Olean and Ischua Town Courts in February.
