Ravena, NY – On July 4, 2020, at approximately 5:40 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the village of Ravena for a vehicle and traffic violation.  Upon interviewing the occupants of the vehicle, approximately $760.00 worth of dangerous fireworks was observed on the back seat of the vehicle.    

 

The passenger, Shaina Ramrattan, 23, of Delmar, NY, was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Albany.  She was charged with Unlawfully Selling Fireworks with a Value of $500 or more and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of Ravena Court on August 26, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.

 

An 18-year old in the vehicle was also charged with Unlawfully Selling Fireworks with a Value of $500 or more.
