PRESS RELEASE
 

On May 9, 2021 at 9:06 P.M., Troopers out of SP Jamestown were dispatched to a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on State Route 430 in the town of Ellery.  Further investigation revealed that 2011 Chevy Malibu operated by a 19-year-old was traveling west bound and struck Bannon L. Eimiller, 22 of Bemus Point, NY who was traveling west in the west bound lane riding a skateboard.  Troopers attempted life saving measures including CPR and utilizing an AED until paramedics arrived. Eimiller was pronounced deceased at the scene and transported to Erie County Medical Center. 

NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted in this investigation.
