Pennsylvania man arrested for DWI in Carrollton

On November 11, 2020, SP Olean Troopers arrested Paul L. Benson, 49, of Ridgway, PA for Driving While Intoxicated.

During a traffic stop on U.S. Route 219 in the hamlet of Limestone, town of Carrollton, Benson was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. Troopers determined he had been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Benson was then arrested and transported to SP Olean, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.08% BAC. Benson was also found to have an active extraditable warrant in Pennsylvania.

Benson was arraigned in Cattaraugus County Court, where he was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail to be held without bail while awaiting extradition.
