On March 6, 2020, State Police arrested 45-year-old Angie J. Burdick of Petersburg, for Assault 2nd degree (D felony), Criminal Mischief 4th degree (A misdemeanor), Obstruction of Governmental Administration (A misdemeanor), Resisting Arrest (A misdemeanor).

State Police responded to a Petersburg residence late Friday night, for a report of a domestic dispute. On scene investigation determined that Burdick had struck the victim with a wooden chair during an argument. When police attempted to escort the victim back into the residence to get some personal effects, they were confronted by Burdick, who told them the victim was not leaving and attempted to slam the door on one of the patrols. Burdick resisted arrest, but was ultimately secured.

Burdick was arraigned in Schaghticoke Town Court and released on her own recognizance. Her next court appearance will be in Petersburg Town Court on April 14, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
