On June 14, 2022 at 07:47pm Troopers out of SP Fredonia arrested James D. Troopers responded to a 911 call about a personal injury automobile accident on Fredonia Stockton Rd. in the town of Stockton.  During the investigation, witnesses reported to Troopers that Mawhir could be seen ingesting unknown substances and trying to hide other unknown objects before police arrived to the scene.  During the interview with Mawhir, Troopers noted obvious signs of impairment, as well as failure of standardized field sobriety tests at the scene.  Mawhir also admitted to having a revoked driver’s license.  After initially refusing treatment from Stockton EMS, Mawhir was eventually transported via ambulance to Brooks Memorial Hospital where he received multiple doses of Narcan after showing signs of possible overdose.
