On January 7, 2021, State Police arrested 32-year-old Andrew C. Dickerson, of Plattsburgh, after Plattsburgh City Police located him at Stewart’s Shop on Cornelia Street in the city of Plattsburgh and took him into custody on a State Police arrest warrant for Petit Larceny. Dickerson was also determined to be a suspect in several other area investigations.  

On November 3, 2020, 5:42 p.m. State Police responded to the Ace Hardware on State Route 11 in the town of Champlain for a report of a shoplifting incident. Dickerson had stolen several hardware items from the power tool and plumbing sections of the store, totaling $727.68.  

On December 28, 2020, at approximately 4:49 a.m. State Police responded to a report of a larceny which occurred at a residence on State Route 374 in the Town of Plattsburgh. Dickerson had stolen several items from the home including a firearm, a chainsaw, a video game console and a carpet shampooer, all totaling approximately $1500. He was then reported to State Police to be at the Maplefield’s in Dannemora, where he stole two beverages from the store and then fled. He was located by State Police in the area of Cook Street, however, he fled on foot upon being located.  

December 29, 2020, at approximately 8:30 a.m. State Police responded to Station Road in the town of Saranac for a report of a burglary. Dickerson had broken into a garage, damaged property and stole a Yamaha Kodiak ATV. Additionally, on December 29, 2020, at approximately 4 p.m., State Police were called to a residence on Dann Road where a seasonal residence had been reported to have broken windows. Dickerson was also determined to be responsible for those damages.  

On January 2, 2021, at approximately 10 p.m. State Police responded to Target, in the town of Plattsburgh, for a larceny. Dickerson had stolen various merchandise totaling $331.96, before fleeing the property.  

At the time of his arrest on January 7, Dickerson was found in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. He is charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd degree, one count of Grand Larceny 4th degree, one count of Criminal Mischief 4th degree, several counts of Petit Larceny, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. He was arraigned by the Plattsburgh City Court and remanded to the Clinton County Jail with no bail. He is to reappear in Saranac Town Court, Dannemora Town Court, Plattsburgh City Court and the Plattsburgh Town Court all on various dates.
