Plattsburgh man arrested for DWI

On February 21, 2021, State Police arrested 44-year-old Michael J. Lewis of Plattsburgh, following a traffic stop at the intersection of Meadow Lark Drive and Rugar Park Way in the town of Plattsburgh, at approximately 9:39 p.m. Lewis was found asleep in the vehicle at the location. He was subsequently arrested for DWI. Lewis was also found in possession of a switch blade knife and buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual films without a prescription. Lewis refused to submit to a test to determine the alcohol content of his blood. He was charged with DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1^st degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3^rd degree (due to a previous conviction), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th degree. Lewis was arraigned before the Town of Peru Court and remanded to Clinton County Jail without bail. He is to reappear in the Town of Plattsburgh Court at a later date.
