April 30, 2020, at approximately 7:46 p.m., State Police responded to a residence on State Route 3 in the town of Saranac for a report of a larceny. An investigation revealed that 35-year-old Wayne M. Goddeau Jr., of Plattsburgh, stole money from the victim’s residence. Troopers responded while Goddeau was still inside the residence. He attempted to evade custody and struggled with troopers while being taken into custody. He was charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, and Resisting Arrest. Goddeau was arraigned by the Town of Beekmantown Court and remanded to the Clinton County Jail.
