PRESS RELEASE

On April 2, 2020, State Police arrested 29-year-old Maranda T. McCaughin of Port Henry after she was found to be operating under the influence of drugs on Champlain Drive in the town of Moriah at approximately 11:22 a.m. McCaughin was found asleep in her vehicle while it was running by a member of the Moriah Police Department.

Due to severe signs of impairment, McCaughin was evaluated by Lamoille Ambulance Services. McCaughin refused testing to determine the drug content of her blood. She was charged with Felony DWAI-Drugs to previous convictions in the preceding ten years. McCaughin was released to a third party with appearance tickets returnable to the Moriah Town Court.
