Portville man arrested for DWAI-drugs, weapons charge in Olean

On January 4, 2020, SP Olean Troopers arrested Jarod T. Poulin, 28, of Portville, NY for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Aggravated DWI – Child in the Vehicle, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree.

During a traffic stop on Main Street in the town of Hinsdale, Troopers determined Poulin had been operating a vehicle while in an impaired condition with a minor child in the vehicle. An illegal dagger was also observed in the vehicle. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Poulin was then arrested and transported to SP Olean, where he refused to submit to a chemical breath test or a Drug Recognition Expert evaluation.

Poulin was arraigned in Olean Town Court, where he was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail. He is due to reappear in that court in February.
