Greenburgh, New York – On November 23, 2020, the New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Tylik D. Wilson Brown, age 22, of Yonkers, NY, for Attempted Assault in the 1st degree, a class C felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd degree, Criminal Mischief in the 2nd degree, all class D felonies, Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd degree, Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, all class A misdemeanors, and Driving While Ability Impaired Drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., Troopers attempted to conduct a vehicle stop of a 2014 Kia Forte for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law on the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway in the town of Greenburgh. The operator, later identified as, Tylik D. Wilson Brown, failed to comply and led the Troopers on a pursuit. Wilson Brown exited the parkway onto West Cross Street and entered a parking lot where he struck a poll. Troopers responding exited their vehicles attempting to place Wilson Brown into custody. Wilson Brown then attempted to strike a Trooper with his vehicle. The pursuit was reinitiated for a short distance before Wilson Brown crashed into a guiderail and fled on foot before being taken into custody with the assistance of Mount Pleasant Police Department near Broadway Street.
Once in custody Wilson Brown was identified and provided with medical treatment. He was transported to Westchester Medical Center by EMPRESS ambulance service. The vehicle was also discovered to have been reported stolen in Mount Vernon.
Wilson Brown was arraigned before the town of Somers Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $50,000 secure bond. He is next scheduled to appear before the town of Mount Pleasant Court on December 3, 2020, at 9:30 a.m.
