Queens resident arrested for Driving While Intoxicated on Van Wyck Expressway

Queens, New York – On the morning of Sunday, February 26, 2023, troopers from SP Wards Island arrested James Hallett, age 49, of Queens, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated – an unclassified misdemeanor.

The troopers were patrolling near the Van Wyck Expressway and conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Maxima, operated by Hallett, for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed Hallett to be impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
